[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Great news!

i will try the nu version this evening, thanks to all the staff :goodjob:

...however i still wait for future versions that updates all that features that still says "no entry yet"
 
Has anyone found a way to get the latest patch to work with the Steam version of BTS yet? It won't get past the client check =/
 
Thanks for new version, hope it will be stable in multiplayer. And very special thx for new dwarf models ;) my favorite faction...

I'm downloading the new version while i write this post.

I have a simple question: it seems that you removed Blue Marble.:( Why did you do so ? Was it so problematic to let it in ? I prefer playing on blue marble than your fantasy terrain. It's too "dark" for me, i prefer bright maps.

Just downloaded FF2 and I was blown away. I am a big fan of the Fantasy world and this floored me. I hope you continue the good work. This combines the civ world with the Homm/D&D world perfect harmony. Thanks to you and your team.

The new download doesnt block the install if it doesnt find bts 3.17. So it will work for your steam install.

Heya Hian,

The short version is that Im going to release Blue Marble as a seperate download. So that players that want to use it can download it, but players that don't want it dont have to suffer the performance hit.

I have been wanting to do this for Legends of Revolution, but I can't find a zip version of Blue Marble, it just wants to install itself. Any chance you could point me toward a copy of blue marble that has all it's files and folderstructure so I can take a look at it?
 
hello there, I've been trying to play this mod for some days now but I can't seem to work it out! I've already downloaded the 0.40 version twice, from the fixed post and the rapidshare, but everytime I install it, it ruins everything! I can't play civ4, bts or warlords! the mod loads but when it's loading the map, it crashes! could it be my cracked .exe's? someone please help me! it feels very frustrating and it's like a torture to see this great mod and be unable to play it!

I seem to remmber cracked exe's being a problem when trying to play FFH yes... this was a long time ago in this mile long thread, but its in there somewhere... so ditch the cracked exe's and try again and you just might be able to play FFH...

If you havn't got civ4 legally this mod is a good enough reason to go and get it ;)
 
without the crack, the game won't initialize so it's useless. A friend managed to download the vanilla 0.23 and work just fine with his cracked version, but that godd*nm gameflood keeps f*ck*ng with the file so I can't get that one either! legal games are too expensive here, so I don't really think that there is a place where you can actually find good games, apart from those that come with magazines. Can't believe that my only chance is to see if my friend still has the installation files of the 0.23.... hasn't it been uploaded in some diferent server?
 
Maxixe, you can buy a legal copy of BtS from amazon for $6.50 U.S. which is 15 Real. Or, you can get it from Steam for $18.
 
unfortunately there're some legal customs procedures that prevent it from sending to Brazil, so buying it on e-stores is not an option either.... even if it could, wouldn't I need the civ 4 original as well?

Then you have SECURom infection on your system. Took me a while to adjust Civ4 and its download to get rid of it. There is going to be a version without intrusive DRM released real soon, wait for that. (will be all versions of Civ) I just got sick of being punished for using the retail version of games I paid for.

Also, never buy a game on Steam that relies on mods- Steam versions of games require extra work for Mods. Use Impulse or Gamersgate instead if you can. Impulse wouldn't have the Brazilian issue either.
 
Is it better to delete the old directory or let the install rename and create a new one?

And what about my friend's game? he managed to get the 0.23 version, and it's working with he's cracked version.


Also, is it just me or that "octopus overlord" religion is a little too of a resemblance of the Great Priest Cthulhu to be a coincidence?

I though it was more of a reference to the Octopus Overlords site, which I think was a reference to begin with.
 
Hi,

i got a settlers unit for free (emigrants event) and was searching for a got location to place a new city. I found one, next to a diamand ressource, and and one field north of a small settlement with a barbarian. The field itself was covered with jungle.

When i try to found the city, the 0.33 variant of FFH2 crashed completely. I got only an Windows error window, and the program was closed.

In Civ4 BTS i regulary found cities in such way, because it turns the defensive standing barbarian unit away out of it fortification. It will attack next round, but this failed in all times.

There are a lots of things happening in this case:
- New city; new city name etc.
- Get the village small present
- Trigger the barbarian unit not to protect the useless (now empty) village field

Did the small present cause this error?

I will try to get the error reason soon, by attacking the barbarian unit first.
