:lol: How great would it be if you were in the middle of a unprovoked war and after failing to adopt UN mandates, you find suddenly there are UN "Peacekeepers" all over your battlefront?

I tried those as well... and still cant load. I usually cant relate to all the problems people post... but this time the problem is stopping me from playing a great Mod.

Any help from the developers would be much appreciated.

Is there any place where we could share saved games? I want to show you all how long it takes to load my game.
 
Would include, in my opinion, be two more terrain bonuses (opium and cocaine), have spies with special functions (like the magic units in FFH2), and allow military units to upgrade with promotional bonuses (specifically targeted at civilizations other the player's civilization is in contact with).

My problem is, when I order IBM to build me a computer for Civilization IV, it still crashes.

If anyone reading this knows why the people here have different level classes, please let me know.
 
and if it also have Sid Myer's colonization incorporated into it (to broaden the economic play while retaining the best military strategy simulation) that would be awesome too.
 
I would like to second the notion for the inclusion of the Challenger II tank for the british (to replace modern armor). I watched a program on the history of british tanks and the Challenger II is indeed a mighty beast. the program even went so far as to call it 'The Best Tank in the World'. This I'm not sure about, as I thought it was the American Abrams.

Also, I found a factual error in Civilopedia. In the entry for America, it lists the invention of the telephone as one of America's achievements. This is false. The inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, was in fact a Scotsman living in America, and not an American. Therefore, Scotland holds the achievement of inventing the telephone. I have actually corrected a reference text on this matter before. The Dorling Kindersley guide to Inventions. After thoroughly researching the matter, they realised their mistake and promised to edit all future editions of the book. Plus they sent me some free books.

But anyway. Could you possibly correct it?

Well. its about barbarians as title suggest. Here are some WTFs about them:

All happening on diety difficulity, 2.02 b patch(might be a slight name mistake):

playing as America

arround 3500 bc - Egyptian civ destroyed (when u save a game name of game tells u what age u have :p, so "not another year clock mod" isnt working perfectly, yers are "arround" couse i dont remember exact year)

arround 3200 bc - Persian civ destroyed - WTH

arround 2400 bc - Russian civ destroyed - WTH

arround 800 bc - Indian civ destroyed - another WTH
after india was "raped" i entered orld builder, and Egypy, Persia, Russia was raped by barbs. Thebes, Helispolis was barbs cities. Parsegade(or something close) was Barbarian, other Persian city lies in ruins. Moscow and St.Petersburg are barbs, 3rd russian city is ruins, St.Pettersburg is under attack by Bismark. Indian Civ Delphi, Calcuta are barbs, Lahore belongs to Mongols. Mongols or Barbarians finished the job, dont know who for sure.

arround 1000 ad - Mongols dies by the hand of Chaina and Japan (my galley contacted Japan, Chaina and Mogols, so i knew when war waged)

arround 1200ad - Best WTH in world... I accidently adopted Slavery... wanted to go Caste System as i resarched Coda of Laws quite late.... In Washington rebels rised... 2 stacks... 4 mace man... trechubert and 2 longbowmans... 20 population city changed into a ruin... like WTH ?!?

Barbarians strenght is astonishing. How ever there are 2 more bugs whith barbs, here they be:

1) Barbarians are moving their army. Mostly in Asia and Africa. Mongolian archer goes to Tibet, where he stacks whith Chaina archer and goes to Nubia or farer... Skirnishers go to Tatar... "moving" units does not attack cities, does not kill workers/settlers/greatpeaple, does not pillage improvements... Only makes ur Laborers work on other title than barb units is stationing. |They stop their marching at 1000 bc, about resarching Iron Working.

2) Barbarians "forbids" AI civs from using workers when Barbarian City or "moving" unit. So it works like this. Nubia is like never conquared, and Thebes does have like 2 workers and 10 slaves in garnison, and not even a road is made in Thebes radius. Same thing goes for Rome whitch has Carthage close, and Madrid whith the city in Northern Affrica.

Thats all i have whith "buggs" i found. Spain, Rome and Egypt has a hard life. Some goes for Moscow, but St.Pettersburg goes nicelly improved. Arabia, Assyria and Babylon when captured cant be "improved" by AI, couse of moving troops. And that strong barbarians "raping" Egypt, Persia and Russia at early stage. Not allways they do destroy a civ thou.

I REmeber when in 2.0 vers. Egypt and Mali was strongest AI civs in game... now they die quite fast

Go to your Total Realism\Assets\XML\Text and open each file with *_Civilopedia_*.xml.

The English tag (e.g. <ENGLISH>bla bla </ENGLISH>) contains all the Pedia text. Knock yourself out and send the edited Pedia to Houman.:goodjob:
 
This mod is still slow even after the emergency fix. Try the Sevomod which runs much faster on the Huge world map.
 
All - this is my first post, but I have been playing Civ since, well, ever, and play Realism exclusively these days. I have a few notes, and forgive me if this is the wrong place for this post (I might even being posting a reply instead of a message - I have no idea, but I will learn), anyway:
1) My strike fighter is no match for a Biplane, it may be my pilots (“Great, Maverick and Goose”), but it seems odd given some 1400mph advantage.
Has thought been given to three layers of bombers: WWI: Zeppelin vs. Biplane; WWII: Bomber (B17) vs. fighter; modern: Strike fighter vs. jet (and then place stealth in there as is) – and have major penalties for a wrong era fighters trying to intercept a more advanced bomber (it is upsetting for my guys in $14mm F/A 18s to bail out every time they see Snoopy in a two-winged menace); and
2) Sea Mines suffer in game play – specifically, they move (and you have to sit and watch all 30 Egyptian mines move back and forth – apparently at random). But, seriously, have you thought of having a ship (minesweeper) lay/collect mines that stay put. In this manner you can mine your territory until some enemy uses a mine sweeper to remove them – slowing them down and buying you time - this seems more realistic of the armament.
Well, this said (and they are minor detractions), this is by far the greatest mod and I thank you for all the selfless work – it is an amazing job.

@Anaztazioch Thanks for teh report. We have to double check this behavior. Maybe having Aggresive AI is better than Rampaging Barbarians. (like in 2.0)

@kszyhoo, Thanks I was expecting it. Tomorrow I will publish the new units since last time.

This is correct. Sevs Mod is faster because there are no changes in the Core game. Everything there is vanilla only with more units and interface improvements.

This mod has changed teh core and added lots of new functionality. The reason why it is still slower than competition is the STack aid, where your units in a stack can actualy get stronger. The way we have the algorithm makes the Mod quite slow. This will improve hopefully in the next release.

Hehe, my games take forever to load also. Early games are ok, but after that it takes really long. I never timed it, but the music often plays 2-3 times over while it loads... And this is standard sized maps, mind you ;)

But I think it would be nice to share games in another way, like the game of the month. I often feel the desire to play these games to compare (and compete) - but damn if I will play vanilla civ after trying this mod :P It would be really cool if someone would arrange a Total Realism GOTM ;)
