Modern Alliances

how goes the 1914 scenaro, when you expecting it to be ready dacubz145?

Well i worked on it quiet a bit, then the game crashed out of random, and a good hour and a half of work gone:mad: (ik ik, i need to save it) so usually when i loose progess i get uninterested in it for a bit, so I did some other things, including adding Thailand to the mod, and in the middle of adding serbia, and either ecuador or Bolivia next

If you want to work on the scenario, the last version i uploaded for you is the most up to date

edit: also I plan on having it "done" in a couple weeks maybe 10 days

Thats great news! should make the ww1 and ww2 scenarios even better.

It is, im gonna see if its posible for there to be a popup in the begining of the scenario giving the option if you want people to declare war based on that or for it to be free style

there is the same sort of option available when you start an scenario on road to war too so im guessing the answer to that is yes

Anything else game wise not content wise (like how you play not UU etc) you suggest?

I was thinking maybe you should start with more units and maybe when you found your first city you should get some buildings straight away too.
on other mods when you start you start in like 1000BC so it makes sence you should get nothing but in your mod your starting in 1900AD and all civs are atleast 100's of years old.

I thought of that, but think about it, since 1900 is the ONLY time you start at, if every city gets a free building, then what's the point? Everyone and everycity gets the exact same benefits so it's basically pointless

I do plan on editing the units you start with though

i think a scout and a worker would be a good units to start with

What about making it random what buildings you get, that way everyone gets a different benefit?

Hmm interesting, seems to complicated though, it would cause a lot of lag in the first turn, something i was thinking of though was this: Promotions to settlers, when you build a settler you get one (or two if I come up with a lot of options) free promotion. Some promotions would be a free certain building, a population bonus, your religion, a culture bonus all placed in the city when built at first, another one would be "protected" where a rifleman gets attached to it and its strength goes up

I like the idea of the religion one, pain in butt if you found a city and some other religion takes route before you get a priest or whatever to it first and alwaying being GB any new city i found has to go on a transport via the sea so if i dont need to build a priest or whatever and send it with in the transport then i can send another unit with it instead.

It would take a bit of python though, so not something I can do, so I will see if i can get either The J or platyping to help

I am working on learning python though, if i adventually learn it I can add a lot of things to the mod, dont have to much time to learn it though sadly
