Modern Times: a new GMR game?

No time to lose...i declared war to Foffaren :cowboy:

Sorry pal, i can't let my 25 units sitting and do nothing.

I must've missed two turns at least in this game.

The Emperor is not pleased with the offered deal. You offer us one of our own cities, coal we would have gotten from another, and the same lux we will have at the city you are returning to us. Tokugawa is insulted that you would take us first for weaklings, and then for fools.

We have made our own offer for the return of peace, which includes the return of Nara, the other city you ravaged. If the terms of the offered deal (can't say cause I haven't decided yet) are not accepted, then Japan and Ethiopia will remain in an active state of war.

P.S. Kagoshima has been returned to the empire by force. Reparations must be paid for the innocents you have slaughtered, whether in treasure or blood.

@Japan: If we sign open border, can I use one of your cannel cities to go to the other side of the ocean? If not, can I trade this city with one of our other cities?

Guess we can negotiate this after I accept the peace treaty. We need our ships positioned near Austria side in case they want to use their spare ships to invade us.

@Germany: Germany is seeking revenge in this world? Now you have the tech lead, please correctly assess the geopolitic situation right now and choose the correct target to atrack?

I don't "seek revenge". I try not to conciser the political situations in one game when making decisions for another and I am perfectly willing to make you an enemy in one game and an ally in the next. I do however, conciser your personality and play style.

Well guess Ethiopia is the enemy in this game? If we waste resouces in the coming war, we will not be able to resist the Austria when Austria finishes the Dutch. We should preserve strengh.

I am happy to allow your ships passage, if the game allows it via an open borders agreement, if we come to a peaceful settlement including the return of Nara. If you accept my proposed peace as fair, then we will consider the Ethiopian-Japanese War history.

For us to continue this war would consign both our peoples to serve other foreign masters, in the end.

I'm quite enjoying this industrial start game. Interesting policy choices, map, geopolitics, units. And I'm really glad I didn't get rolled up by your battleship armada. Like real history, sinking that carrier and other ships was a major turning point.

I didn't see any oil deposit in your territiry. maybe hidden under the cloud. so that many ***** *** ******* were not expected. :goodjob:

Not suprised. Was waiting for it. Dont grow to fast, or you'll be stuck with 30 turns of unhappiness again. :)

 again.

Do you have any chance survival if others come to help?

Ah...now you can see why I worked hard stopping your scout from landing in the early game! These things can matter quite a bit. Yes, I would've been toast without oil.

I'm having trouble with my turn for the 2nd time in a row. Can I get the turn timer shut off until I can get it resolved.

Dunno. Havent seen the impact he had on the first strike yet. My border city is well fortified though, but depending on how much artillery I'm facing... Well. We'll just have to see.

Game is bugged again. I can't send the new file to the next player.

Each time i play the turn the next player needs to revert. There is something weird with this file. I always been able to finish and send the file but the civ5 software ALWAYS get me back to the desktop with an unknown error right after.

I don't see the point to play my turn again and again(i have to move 20 units but now it takes me only 15 sec to move them all )...

You get to see my downfall over and over again. I thought that would feel great.

Well there is EEE sitting near my coastal city with some battleships...

The AI played(badly) a turn. But at least the show can go on. I didn't get any problems this time.

Did Islandia ever resurface?
