Modified Scenarios Workshop

I don't know if this is the right thread, and this is probably a stupid question, however I am trying to play Warlords of China. The original tot graphics keep on popping up for the units. Is there a file or something I can use to keep this from happening and use the unit graphics that are meant for the scenario?

Thanks for the help

Techunseh has uploaded a new version with new Fairline graphics and other improvements:

You can make the sprites go away two different ways. First, you can change the first number in the General flags field of the @UNITS_ADVANCED section of the Rules Txt. from 0 to 1. You have to do this for each unit.

; Advanced unit fields

; A) 'tribe may build' mask: 0 - can't; 1 - can
; B) 'not allowed on map' mask: 1 - not allowed on map
; C) minimum bribe amount: n - minimum bribe; 0 - don't care; -1 - can't bribe
; D) 'build transport site' mask: 1: can; 0: can't for each site type
; E) 'use transport site' mask: 1: can; 0: can't for each site type
; F) native transport ability: 1: can; 0: can't for each map relationship type
; G) General flags
; 00000001 invisible until attack: 1 - invisible
; 00000010 non-disbandable (human players only): 1 - cannot disband
; 00000100 0-range-air-unit damage override: 1 - override damage
; 00001000 barbarian units can't be bought off: 1 - can't buy off
; 00010000 impassable terrain override: 1 - override impassable terrain
; 00100000 unit acquires engineering abilities: 1 - engineer
; 01000000 barbarian unit will not expire: 1 - no expire
; 10000000 override .SPR file for this unit: 1 - don't use .SPR

The second way is to create a new folder in your Original directory and put all the sprites in it. This keeps the sprites from showing up when you load the game .It's what I do, since I never want to see those terrible sprites in any game or scenario I play.

Preliminary troubleshoot: Did you disable animated sprites in Graphics Options?

Hi all,

Jesús Muñoz Fernández ""The Spanish Odyssey v2.0" scenario has been updated with new graphics and to run with ToTPP. It can be downloaded from the CivFanatics download section located here.

This is another gem of a scenario which I encourage players to try if they haven’t done so before.

Also a big thank to you to Gapetit for helping me with the scn file hex editing.

I have a question: is it possible to make any modifications that allow certain AI-controlled units not to attack or at least devote less attention to other units? That is, for example, AI aviation does not attack certain units. The impassable terrain is not feasible, because when the unit disappears, the terrain still cannot be attacked by aviation and can in any case be used to protect other units. In units with the invisible mark that happens, but in this case the units must be visible. Complex solution.

I'm not aware of solutions in the base game. I've heard rumors that shield cost "may" influence AI decisions, but I haven't tested this ever.

In lua, I'm not sure if you can force units to "ignore" other units, but you can certainly reset the hitpoints of certain units that you don't want killed.

Thanks for the ideas JPetroski. I think you're right, it's very difficult to prevent some units from being attacked by aviation. Just in case I've followed your advice, and even though the borders cost 1, I've lowered it to 0 and I've raised the Steel Curtain to 5, hoping they'll be more appealing to the AI. As I've made some other improvements, I've decided to include the new scenario. I have always tried that all scenarios can be played with any version of ToT, so I do not dismiss that I can in the future include that limitation with LUA. I hope you enjoy it.

Great idea, so visually the change of era is more evident. I modify and include some more of your units, and it can be said that it is complete (for now).

I am modifying the icons so to begin with the graphics will be practically done.

Can you advise me how to save this image so ToT will accept it?

I had to change the scenario again because NATO aircraft were not working properly in AI if they did not have nearby cities. I have also improved the graphics as much as possible (I have even included the badge of Hungarian paratroopers). Perhaps new graphics for French and English should also be included for events, but I'm not sure how much space I have left... I hope you like the changes. A greeting
