MODS compatible with Vox Populi (VP)

Thanks, but that does remind me to remove ExC - as that has been completely succeeded by ExCE (everything in ExC is now in ExCE, but with better polish). It'd be great if you can remove it from the OP, as I'll shut down the steam item shortly.

I'm working on testing Whoward's for compatibility with The CBP & CPP. I've been using a combination of playing some games as observer using Firetuner and other games simply as the human player (smallest map, two players only). Can anyone recommend other methods for testing compatibility? This system works, but it is time intensive and doesn't allow changing settings on-the-fly.

I have a preliminary list of mods which I think might be incompatible, but I'd like a more rigorous test before putting it out there.

Thanks to everyone for contributing!

Firetuner is a pretty good method. You can always check the logs - customlog, etc - in your logs folder and look for errors. Many of whoward's mods reports errors if they have any.

Has anyone had any experiance with Whowards UI - Promotion Tree (v 14)?

It's been a while since I've used it last but I decided to try with todays CPP release. I think I used to be able to click somewhere on the unit panel (on the name?) to see the promotion tree when a promotion was available but now I can only click on the icon in the upper right corner (using EUI) and somehow I can't make it shift between units - it always shows the promotion tree for my first warrior.

Don't know if it's EUI, CPP or ... but there's nothing in the log files.

That is a very useful mod. Unfortunately, I'm getting the same result as you. I'm assuming it is incompatible. I'm getting the same behavior with the Upgrade tree.

I, too, am running EUI, CPP, CBP and others.

I don't have any experience modding or any kind of software engineering. I understand that there are a variety of logs which the game can write to which can used to troubleshoot. Are there any guides which someone could link me to, so that I can learn more about them?

Are there any recommended settings for a LiveTuner Troubleshooting game? Here is what i do, but I'd like to improve it, if possible -
- Use a Duel map and further "shrink" it via WorldBuilder - most of the map is mountains with enough room for just 5-6 cities.
- Two civilizations and 3-4 city-states
- Quick speed, sometimes historic if I'm testing compatibility for that mod
- I disable diplomacy victory
- I disable time victory
- I disable cultural/tourism victory
- Difficulty set to Deity
- Graphics settings as low as possible
- windowed mode & smallest resolution possible
- auto-save turn to every 10 turns

Any suggestions on how to improve upon this set-up?

Heya all!
Have you guys had any problems with JFD's Exploration Continued Expanded ?
When i use it, the interface is all screwed up, the top panel is full of gibberish, not even the menu button works anymore.
Is there a chance that it might conflict with YnAEM map pack or is it the other way around? When i try to launch YnAEM, it only show an incomplete setup page.

The latest version is fully compatible, but is also incomplete for certain components (Trade, Colonies, Attrition). It sounds like you're using an outdated version. As I add back in the other components, I'm looking at CBP support.

ExCE does play a tiny bit weirdly with some things, like say, textures on some Tribes being silly and in one case giving me the first ever time I've seen a little alert box pop up separate from the window telling me one didn't load, and it also does silliness with policies, but hm.

On a related note, CulDiv doesn't seem to be working with this for some reason. It just outright seems to fail and not do anything. These seem to be the most relevant lines I see in the Lua log:

Spoiler :

[26220.975] JFD_CulDiv_StartingFunctions: IconHookup error - icon index: nil icon size: 64 atlas: nil image control: CivIcon
[26220.975] Runtime Error: C:\Users\Derek\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\JFD's Cultural
rsity (Core) (v 2)\Lua/JFD_CulDiv_StartingFunctions.lua:230: bad argument #1 to 'LocalizeAndSetText' (string expected, got nil)

CBP deletes all promotion before adding new ones. It makes every mod that adds new promotions incompatable with CBP. Why not properly remove vanilla promotions?

The number of promotions removed, and the system of prereqs changed by the system, were horribly difficult to properly execute via SQL. If you make the mod that adds promotion dependent on the CBP, it'll load afterwards (and work correctly).
