Obligatory Guess the Civ Game!

So, who could have such a nice and lovely war theme?

I came late to say its Mexico! :D however for those who want to listen to the whole thing:

Its the Danzon No.2 from Arturo Marquez

I dont know if you have it already but I would like to suggest Mexico's peace theme, its both paceful, inspiring, from one of Mexico greatest composers and fits civ perfectly.

Tierra de Temporal, Jose Pablo Moncayo

Great work, cant wait to see Mexico.

Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now, so I might as well share some of the assets for it:

Link to video.

ehecatzin was 100% correct with his guess of Danzon No. 2, which serves as both the peace and war themes - first four minutes are peace, then after the clapping is war

The map is mine, based on the period just after the United Provinces of Central America declared independence which is fitting of the time frame of the leader. Mexico has two Unique Units, one of which is a conventional rifleman replacement and the other which is a unique replacement nothing like the unit which it replaces. The icons of all of these are above, and were done by the amazing Janboruta. The only exception to this is the Civ icon, which is for the first time my own work! But without further ado, here's Leugi's leaderscreen:

So many Mexico's now :D, seems like with two UU's this Mexico will be a more aggresive playstyle, it fits the early republic, which was filled with warfare.

Is that Vicente Guerrero? That's... kinda an odd choice for civ leader, I would have expected him for a Central America civilization or something along the lines of that. Anyways, can't wait to see this (well, both) version of Mexico.
As for the UUs, are those Insurgentes and Rurales?

The leader is Guadalupe Victoria, I used paintings of him and Guerrero as reference, so it might be a little confusing - but it's nothing compared to the pretty erratic depictions of many official civ leaders :P The uniques - yes, Rurales, and Zapatistas from the Liberation Army of the South (obviously not the modern ones as that would pretty much wrong, at least in my opinion :P )

Located in the northwest of Southeast Asia, Burma has a long and complex history - a land where magnificent and ancient Buddhist temples gaze out serenely over a nation that has seen centuries of both prosperity and turmoil. Under King Anawrahta, the regions constituting Burma were unified for the first time, laying the foundation for the ascent of Burmese language and culture, the spread of Burman ethnicity in Upper Burma, and the growth of Theravada Buddhism in Burma and in mainland Southeast Asia.

Presenting Burma!

Just so you all know, the plus 2 culture is in conquered cities is subject to the -25% penalty for puppets. The +GWP per turn do not appear in the tooltips in the city view (or anywhere else for that matter), but they are also subject to modifiers in the city where the points are added, so modifiers do matter!

I'd appreciate feedback on balance; especially on the Kyundaw.

Oh and no music yet, I appreciate any suggestions you may have.

Credits to Leugi for his brilliant unit model and leaderscreen!

The artwork is more like art than 90 percent, possibly more, of modern conceptual "art". I haven't had the chance to play it yet but I will when I get the chance.

This made me think about making an conceptual or abstract art civ, just to piss people off (including myself).

I'd totally love to play as Kandinsky :P ; if we are getting farther than that in abstract though...

UA for Abstractionist Civ: :greatwork: Great Works created in Abstractionist Civilization don't produce any :c5culture: Culture or :tourism: Tourism outside Abstartionist cities but can still be traded to other civilizations.

Nah, what we need is a Magic Realism civ: You can play advancing forwards or backwards, works both ways! Time will stay put and you can communicate with Great persons from gone eras but if someone makes a trade route to your civilization you'll suddendly find yourself up to the times! Your great artists will be able to transmit their works and emotions through food and your citizens will sprout wings and fly away from time to time...

Certainly Macondo will reign supreme!

Just played a game against Burma. Looks excellent ingame!
Is it just me or is there always some numpty on Steam that says that any given civ that a modder uploads is OP?
Yeah, that happens all the time. Even when it's really weak, someone says it's OP for some reason. It's the same with wonders.

Another thing I get really annoyed with on the comments is when people give me all of the credit for the mods, especially when I do nearly nothing of the stuff that makes them really high quality. It's a team effort!

And yeah, there's always someone there to say All civ mods are OP hehe
