A travesty to leave out Wordsworth, sorry.

No. no. no no no no. Bad. It was ruined as soon as Sirius (who was damn fine in my head) died.

I'm all right with killing off characters and both Sirius and Dumbledore's deaths were reasonable. What was mostly a problem for going downhill is that Ginny Weasley is a gold-digging whore. And the seventh book was a major disappointment overall.

Wordsworth is the reason my degree has been only slightly unenjoyable at university. If you've read 'The Prelude', you'd understand.
As for Dumbledore and Sirius's deaths, I completely agree, it was just a shame :(!

I'm number 3. RP at it's best. And Potter is definitely a word to enjoy saying! Tttttttt!

No 2, I think is the most common English pronounciation. No 3 is more snobbish, no?

The ending of the last one was the worst. I was personally rooting for Voldemort to win and kill everyone, and for Harry to end up with Luna before then.

i wanted harry to end up with either Hermione and/or Luna. Hermione is the obvious choice while Luna is the best choice if the first one doesn't work out.

Harry with Hermione would have been even worse than the current version of Harry's love life. :yuck:
These are the times that I am extra proud of having never seen more than two Harry Potter movies. (I would be even prouder if I hadn't seen any. :p)

I'd say shagging snogging my best mate's hot sister is a pretty good deal.

xpost edit: NickyJ, movies? :dubious:

The ending of the seventh book/movie wasn't so bad because you could see where everything was going long before that. I'd already resigned myself to Harry/Ginny even though they're a terrible couple (and worse in the movies) and so I was able to at least kind of enjoy the big Hollywood fight scene - emphasis on kind of. The ending of the sixth movie, on the other hand, has to rate as one of the most disappointing moments in film in the last decade. More disappointing than Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, because unlike that movie, we couldn't see the end of Half-Blood Prince coming.

So, a top-five list.

I concur, good sir. Having just finished a 6000 dissertation on Hamlet, there is no play better.

I vacillate on how much I like Hamlet. :undecide: If it weren't for the first two (maybe three) options being jokes in my top 5, I'd probably have put it in the list. Probably.

I'm impressed that you can still stand to talk about Hamlet after writing a dissertation on it, though. That would've burned me out on anything to do with the damn play. :)
