  • Marae Arahurahu (French Polynesia)
  • 1 :c5greatperson: GMusP;
  • 5 XP per local :greatwork: Great Work to Land and Naval Units in this City;
  • 1 slot for :greatwork: Great Work of Music;
  • all Land and Naval Units: "15 :c5faith: from lost owned Units and 15 :c5culture: from killed enemy Units" (Arahurahu);
  • all Ranged Units: "+10 :c5strength: CS" (Marae);

Yes but in the history of Rapa Nui, local forests disappeared to build the Moai :sad:
But they increased production of Moais, right? (I watched the movie :))
  • 1 :c5food:, 1 :c5culture: and 1 :c5faith: on Coast;
  • 1 :c5production: per local Forest;
  • 1 :c5production: per local Quarry;
  • +33% :c5production: Worker Rate;
  • 2 flat resources: Tern Egg;

Now I noticed that Lake+Mountain is already requirement for Gate of the Sun. That means 2 wonders with same difficult requirement. If player meet this req, then he has guaranteed 2 wonders.

Yes, perhaps Grassland, lake and a cattle, you have an epinal image of switzerland :)

I think it's an original Wonder and Civ like Japan could be in synergy with it.

Yes of course. Moai date from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries (so rather middle ages), don't you have the account of wonder over this period?

I wanted it to be placed on Sailing. They were started around 900, didn't they?

v0.5.6 on Github. Added 4 new wonders: Solovietsky Monastery, Golden Pavilion, St. Peter's Basilica and Peterhof. Changed Lavaux requirement.

Moved planned Ahu Tongariki to Physics (medieval; they were constructed between 1300-1500) and Marae to Astronomy (renaissance; from 1400).

Never played with Venice, my fault.

So the Arsenale is already in game as the Grand Canal ( and Ponte di Rialto. Nice.

I really need to give Enrico Dandolo a chance.

Queued for my next playthrough !

Post #126, but I do updates to project. You should create new one and copy files to it. Maybe other guy will help you. Tell me if you succeed.

Bug happens sometimes when trying to build large mods. Try:
  1. Right click the mod solution, click clean. Restart ModBuddy, then click build solution.
  2. Or, open the solution file directly, find the .civ5sln in the ModBuddy folder in Documents, double click it to open, then build. All this without going through Steam.

It also happens if you try to build mod and you are in game.

Thank you, it worked

v0.5.7 on Github. Added Ait Banhaddou and Kilwa Kisiwani (both without icons). Changed splash for Taj Mahal (the only one so far that was different size). Changed few quotes. Added missing lua code for Sistine Chapel requirement. Fixed policy requirements for Policy wonders (should be 0).

Dear adan_eslavo, I like Solutionit's proposals but for these two wonders

It seems strange to me to need coffee or bananas (plantations) to be able to build Lavaux. I think a lake and a mountain would be more Swiss. Or, kind of like your idea for Buddhas of Bamyan, X embassies or one Friendship treaty, very Swiss and peaceful conditions.

Colossus of Rhodes is definitely a Bronze Age wonder and Copper (by ownership or exchange) stay a better idea I think, or perhaps, a lighthouse in the city (fairly correlated with winning a trade route)

I didn't give much thought for the Lavaux so I think your proposal works better. In terms of the Colossus if I remember correctly the copper requirement got removed, but I think I was more in favor of keeping it and adding iron as an alternative requirement, that way it wasn't really guaranteed for one civ to just be able to build (assuming they even had coastal copper at that point lol).

Anyways I might have noticed a good reason to revert Petra back to requiring a mountain now, and it is that it becomes likely on much bigger maps to stack mohenjo-daro, karnak, and the petra somewhat consistently, and they're all not too far apart from each other technology wise.

@adan_eslavo (assuming this works how I think it does, no idea how to work these forums lol) what are your thoughts on reverting it back to the mountain requirement? I happened to have a random seed generate a tectonics that spawned a bigger desert area for me and i basically made a super city with these wonders a little too fast. I'm referring to Petra btw.

Final edit i swear cause i can't compile my full ideas until i proofread: If we can think of a wonder to give 3 plantations as a requirement in order to build that'd be wonderful though, since I believe right now the Lavaux is the only one which does that at the moment.

I recently have changed Lavaux to require Lake, Hill and Grassland instead of initial Lake+Mountain, and even later Lake+3xPlantations.
I can readd Mountain to Petra. No problem. It feels more natural for me with this config (very unique).
I can make Copper/Iron combo for Colossus.
Remember I simplified requirement for Mohenjo too. Maybe it is the cause of multi-desert-stack.

I was working recently on v0.5.8 with new 4 wonders added (Old Bridge, Meenakshi, Bakken and House of Trade of the Indies) and as an additional thing I looked at help texts to correct them or add missing stuff. Now it is my question:

"How do you like current help texts for wonders?"

I don't like them at all. They don't fit the wonder popup at all. What I mean is for example:
  • instead of old text for Meenakshi Temple which has many repeated info from tooltip (remember I use standard VP pattern from other buildings and wonders):
Spoiler Old Help text :
"Provides a Free Mandir in the City in which it is built. Receive 20 :c5food: Food from each :c5faith: Faith Purchase. All :greatwork: Great Works in the Empire receive +1 :c5food: Food. +1 :c5faith: Faith from Lake and River tiles worked by this City."
  • we could make something like this:
Spoiler New Help text :
"Meenakshi Temple focuses on :c5food: and :c5faith: generation. To maximize its power, quickly increase number of :c5citizen: Citizens of all your Cities, perform many :c5faith: purchases and create lots of outstanding :greatwork: Great Works across your Empire."

As you can see, every valuable info is presented in more convienient way without mentioning about numbers or repeating info from previous tooltip. Meenakshi:
  • gives flat :c5faith:, :c5food: and little :c5culture: (tooltip);
  • adds % of all :c5citizen: in Empire as :c5faith: (help);
  • adds :c5food: to lakes and rivers (tootlip);
  • adds :c5food: to :greatwork: GWs (help);
  • grants :c5food: on :c5faith: purchase (help);
  • provides free Mandir (tooltip);
It would look much better in the Popup. Very often help texts are inconsistent and take much place of the screen which is problematics for people playing on small resolutions where info is going outside the screen. Current state also requires many updates after new version of mod or VP comes out.

What do you think about that for rest of new and old wonders? Maybe as a variant that could be switched on/off?
