Yes, you're totally correct, it would be a nightmare to prove. His version 5 removes the Native America civ and adds the Sioux, Iroquois and Cherokee. However, he commented that one of the artstyles was causing him Python issues, which, coincidentally, he mentioned about my mod to me in a PM. And the version of mine he downloaded replaces the Native American civ with the Sioux, Iroquois and Cherokee, so make of it what you will. I did make (almost) all of the buttons, though, so they can be traced if nothing else. But anyone with any sense would be able to tell it's mine.

I do not doubt that the civs are based on your mod. I just say it would be relatively easy for him to fix that by removing your civ and adding a similar one from another mod.

I have a Sioux and Iroquois civ too (using pretty much the same units) and they precede yours afaik (at the very least they are not based on yours). Once the Capo releases his next civ pack or new version I will probably grab his Apache civ too, to complete my NA civs (here's to hoping he releases his next set of civs soon ).

I only added the Iroquois once Bernie14 released his units in December 07 (good thing I keep my old versions around, the first version with Iroquois units is from 12/12/07 ). Since I released soon thereafter I thought I was first, but apparently you had the civ before that, maybe not the art tho

People don't seem to like my mod. Over 100 downloads and only a 1 star rating. I want to know what I can improve. I am completly open to criticism.

I can't give you an opinion because your links are all going no place. Why bother with File Front or any place like them, you have ads shooting at you from all over at the place at File Front now!! (Turn off accepting cookies review each one, delete all cookies, go visit these download sites, I was hit with 8-10 ads, 5 of which were either malware or ad-aware, if you accept cookies, you get possibility of spyware, ad-aware or malware installed on your computer) Every single download sites attempt to make cash off the back of you hard working Mod Designers when you are making Mod files for free. You host it freely, the download sites charges for it, why? Sure covers the costs, but they make profit, not just cover costs. If you go into the industry of making money online, starting up a download site making people pay for it, is the best business going. It is sick to me watching this unfold over the past few years. I intend to try and stamp them out a bit if possible

No one at CFC should mind this post at all, I have a nice banner on my front page for CFC, I'm doing this to give a place FREE to download files, no wait, reliable server, with hardly no downtime, allowing users to get at your work, I redirect all support back here to CFC where ever you like. Hell some of the Mods made for BtS and Warlords are good enough to be sold as mini expansions for Civ IV. You guys deserve a place to put your work where it won't be deleted EVER, will never charge and no intrusive ads what so ever.

I will pay 500-2000$ out of my own pocket before I make any fellow gamer pay for something that should be for free. We are opening our own data center real soon here in Las Vegas, still free file serving, 8 terabytes worth of space will be dedicated TO FREE FILE HOSTING AND DOWNLOADING! All of these places piss me off, why make money off things that are free? Make it some other way or shut down, it isn't right, we will have unlimited bandwidth so it won't matter to me.

I want to redirect support back to this site for everyone that wants it, CFC is the home for Civ fans, we are the place to host all the files for the fans. What other download service would provide this for anyone? Venting session over!! Sorry!

Yes exactly why I am going to do the opposite avoid the greed, just cause I can. I am a long time gamer, long before the Internet, I ran a BBS system for 10 years had files, more then anyone else on the east coast. I could have charged, did I? No because I don't try to make money off things that are free.

File Front, good service, no denying that. Problem now, they use bad Ads, that intrude on your privacy, install crap on you, yeah Ad block them, but point is they shouldn't be doing it, so you need to.

Daryl, our site is friendly to Firefox and all the other browsers but Internet Explorer. IE has some issues with certain code in the new version of software. I used IE 8 with no issues uploading a test file. FTP is the easiest way to upload to our servers until we finish the coding we are doing to make it easy to do whatever you wish. Real sorry you are having issues. I can teach you how to use FTP, hit me up with a private message here or at my site. Be my pleasure

We are in the process of configuring the website to use FTP instead of PHP for uploading and downloading. Improving speeds up and down. We are adding new tabs, for quick uploading of any file, image etc.

Game Fanatics and its network will be around 30 terabytes by this time next year, possible faster if some investments of mine turn around. Point I am making, I am going to provide real FREE reliable file storage service out of my own pocket. Here to serve the all game communities. Maybe I'm missing something, but I still don't understand your point of view. I've never heard of the ads on Filefront giving anyone any rubbish or messing with their systems, and as with anything, the key to business is profit. You can't hold a grudge against them for trying to earn a bit of cash.

Pay a small fee and find things no one else has.

Again, maybe I've misunderstood, but I've never heard of any of those sites charging for uploads, but I think that's just me getting the wrong end of the stick. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't need that many adverts to cover costs, but for the service they provide, it's not worth worrying about. Personally, I'm running Chrome at the minute, and I've used Firefox before, and have had no problems with FF on either.

Everything else aside, I wish you luck with your site. It sounds like a great concept and if you can pull it off, it's sure to be popular.

(Seems like a big misunderstanding to me, I edited my post to try and resolve this matter. I don't have a GRUDGE NikNaks, I am trying to provide an alternate place to host files where you will never get hit with ads, never wait, no fees, no need for protection, etc. That is all I am doing, I am sorry if I typed things wrong, I am not on a Jihad, I am simply giving everyone a place to host their files unlike all the rest. You don't want to use it that is fine with me. Please act like an adult and don't berate or belittle my efforts, what I am doing is a good thing. NikNaks, where is that "I wish you luck post?" Actually, Filefront has no waiting times, and in all honesty, modders need hosting and hosts need hits, so it's a mutually beneficial system. A few ads is a completely worth being able to have them online 24/7. Who cares how much profit they make? So long as my files can be downloaded, I'm not bothered.

Im not on some mad compaign, I am doing this for the game community, if you guys don't appreciate what I am doing why say anything.

I am here to talk about Civ 4 Morestuffmod. I am not upset, I don't need to calm down you need to calm down and understand what I am going to do.

Incidently I never said File Front had lines, I said File Front, MobDB are the only ones who were honestly online for us gamers. File Front is no longer online for gamers, they are online to make money off files you upload forcing fans of your Mod to deal with it.

I am not doing it for money I am doing it cause I love doing it. My websites have been online since 1999 in vartious forms. Google has been taken care of, we get over 1 million hits a month.

I am an adult not some little kid. I am giving you all a better place to host files nothing more, now, If you are done with worthless banter I have a website that others appreciate.
I have done nothing wrong, you two started at me, I don't want to defend myself but you forced me too.

Daryl I am still here to help you get your Mod uploaded some place, file Front, File Planet, Game Fanatics, I dont care I want to try your Mod, it sounds cool. I always love Mods that combine a lot of others to add more to the game then change it entirely.

File Planet free as a bird, wait in line yes I agree I am a paying member of File Planet & IGN thank you very much I know all about this topic, a hell of a lot more then any of you guys do.

Our business is Custom computer building, we are now expanding and diversifying our business by opening a data center, gaming LAN center, computer & console Museum, Internet cafe' and convention center for game conventions. We already have a few cons booked. I could care less how you two feel, the average gamer agrees with me.

We will lease servers for website hosting etc. This is my baby, not my son's, he backs me 100%, I am just trying to provide a free service, no lines, no hassles. If you don't want to use our free services then don't!! Frankly if this was my website, my moderators be all over you. There is no reason to give me crap when what I am doing is a good thing.

I am shocked none of you consider the fact they make money off your files and you don't get a thing for it. Hosting your file is worth it? They are making millions a year cause of YOU and others like you.
