No I already had an overdose at 50 turns.

OK, than my shield is up... I meant the builder's hammer :groucho:

Yes, we're in the Medieval ages, a time of putting aside our swords and spears to the effort of building glorious wonders  . Yes, play as many turns as you like there, seeing as this one *nearly* rivals the unpopularity of my other game  .

MP4 470 BC
(0) For some Peacefull Builders (PeaceMongers) we have a lot of Barracks.
Max science; buy some furs from Portugal for the ladies. Their husbands are not warring so can offer them some gifts.
(1) Builds.
(2) Rush Chartres temple – the city is under pressure. It’s a 3 turns settler factory without granary (a bit corrupted)
(3) Persia has monopoly on Monarchy
(5) Pull Korea in MA, they got Feudalism.
They’ll trade with Carthage and we’ll have it soon enough.
Notice that Korea and Portugal are in war.s
(6) Yup they did. I get Monarchy from Carthage for Lit, Spices, Horses, 30g.
Get Engineering from Korea for both Monarchy and Lit.
Then get Feud from Portugal for Monarchy. (with a RoP for good relations)
Research Mono.
(7) Nothing special
(8) Building HG in Paris
(9)
(10) Lyons FP – temple.
(11) Portugal and Carthage sign peace.
Sell Iron to the Koreans for Insens, 41g and 17 gpt.
(12) The people loves builders.
(13) Mono is in, set on theology.
Sell Mono to Carthage and Persia for about 150 gpt and Gems.
(14) Logically Invention is known.
(15) Korea gives Invention for Mono, spices and 45g
(16)
(17) Renew Portugal deal for furs, giving spices. This must be my 20 turn.
Work on our relationship with Arabia. (Selling Feud for 200g gifted plus 50g)
(21)
(22) Theology in. Set research on education.
Lisbon finishes ToA.
AIs don’t have enough money to buy theology, I hold.
(IBT) Persia declares on Portugal. Good for us, keeping Portugal occupied.
(23) The AI have money now. Hold Theology waiting for the cascade to end (Sistine seems a really good wonder for builders to me)
(IBT) Antioch steals us HG, Paris was 2 turns away.
(24)
(25)
(26)
(27) Portuguese military parade on our borders. Mainly warriors and horses, some MI.
(28) Korea knows Gunpowder.
(29) Education comes, research Astronomy.
Damn.
Chartres.JPG

Our culture is ridiculous compared to the portoguese. (3 times less).
(30) Carthage finishes Templar.
Portugal gives Gunpowder, Chivalry, 20g and a worker for Theology.
Persia gives 49 gpt.
Korea gives 54gpt + 70 g for Theo+Salpeter
Rush builds here and there.
(31) Time to give back the game.

yes they do. :whipped:

(29) Education comes, research Astronomy.Damn. (Chartres flips)
Our culture is ridiculous compared to the portoguese. (3 times less).

Now that wasn't supposed to happen. We're supposed to be cultural giants :crazyeye: . Actually, I've been expecting Avignon to flip the whole game, but Chartres? :shakehead

Hmmmmm ......... Chartres doesn't comply ??! Kill 'em all !!! :ar15:

Yeah, until they declare war (or someone tricks them into declaring it) there's no option.

:undecide: got it...

Sorry for the malevolent propaganda, again, but...
no one knows once they're all dead and smokin !!! :ar15:

Might I ask where is the savefile? I would have played a few turns myself ... :whipped: Khan, come in !

Beorn, I think I'll declare this game dead. No big deal. It's unfortunate maybe that whomp played so many turns for nothing, but I think it's best to be over.

Thank you for playing Khan and whomp and for attempting to play, Beorn...I have the last save, but I guess Khan removed his.

MP--No probs. I had fun. It was during jury duty so I was thrilled to play!!
I guess no one wants a peaceful game. :(

Sorry about the save, I must have misclicked when I was cleaning the old attachments.
Thank you for setting the game, MP, too bad it wasn't that followed. I guess there are only warmongers left in this site. And building is not really tempting to them. Actually I understand them a bit, depending on the mercy of the portoguese as we do now is irritating me a lot...

Actually, I'm on a solo game where I only defend/recapture, Carthage DG Space attempt, to see how much faster I can get a SS up in DG. So far it blows, tech-tree-wise, but it has proven less difficult than I would have expected. And it makes for a refreshing variance of warmongering a game, that I can tell.
Before reading this site, I played "with a conscience" and rarely ever declared/conquered; I realise now that I missed not warmongering. I've been too damn busy to play this one game and I repent.

One thing I think could have been much improved here in this game is the use of space: I know it was intended to be a 'builders' game with huge cities, but the culture/pop/prod loss of building as sparse as our AI buddies is great. Just a thought for the next game: if you don't start one, I will, when I get more time on my hands.
