Can't compare Bean and Blackadder.
Bean is more universal comedy. I enjoy it as much as my 80 year old grandmom does, and she barely speaks English. Bean cuts across language barriers just the way Charlie Chaplin and the Three Stooges did. Even now, movies in Indiahave comic duos and trios based very much on the Three Stooges.
Blackadder is more for those with a good knowledge of English and English History. Often I don't get a line and a ittle research is involved in trying to figure out what was funny about a line. It is screamingly funny but to a more limited audience than Bean

Mr. Bean is pure genius! Just too bad it seems I've seen all episodes a couple of times already, I know all the jokes now when I see it. And as far as I know no new episodes are being made?

I think Mr. Bean was too silly and too predictable. That movie that came after the series is absolutely ridiculous.

We pariahs learn early on to laugh at ourselves now and again.
But - since Mr. Bean is basically clumsy, accident-prone and socially inept - I shouldn't be surprised if he's eventually condemned as an offensive charicature of people with Asperger's Disorder, a mild form of autism. The PC brigade are forever seeking new subjects to wave their disapproving finger at (tut, tut).
