Yes, exploitation was so much better when white people did it.

Hate to say it, but I would bet my bottom dollar that the Zimbabwean economy was better off under the boot of White people then under the boot of Mugabe. It was once called the bread basket of Africa. Now look at it. Just a basketcase. In no way am I condoning what White people did to that country, but i'm not going to revise history either simply for political correctness.

So he did. But that does not invalidate that the previous white monopoly on power had to be brought to an end. Tribal societies (and much of Africa still wrestles with that close past) cannot become stable states even in a few decades. Ending white rule was just a first step down that path. And the former white rulers had another choice - they could recognize the black population as citizens, equals to the whites. That they all refused - all the countries with colonies in Africa would rather cut them off than recognize full citizenship to africans (much as Israel still insists in doing with Palestine, by the way). So independence and the rule of a majority that was everywhere still made up of "natives", not white settlers, was the only way forward.
