Muliplayer in c2c - welcome

    we agreed with DRJ to play on virtual LAN by software gameranger
    you need to download your gameranger client from offiicial website
    and change
    Mod = 0
    line in your ini and join my room on GR
    this way there would be no problem with routers and firewalls

    you need to change ini just before launching the game with GR, because it sometimes reset your ini :p

    anybody but hale and drj trying to join?

    we have some technical problems anyway
    be sure if you have multiple install of civilization4 to have correct bts path in your gameranger

    we are both with DRJ tired of technical problems, and agreed to move game to tommorow, hale do you agree? maybe other will come and svn maybe will fix developing leaders.

    until then we all fix our networking problems ok?

    I'm sure a little trouble shooting should be done to get it working for everyone, anyway.

    Pretty sure I've got this sorted out now so it should be some testing, some repair of some mistakes made during last night's 'fix' and the OOS errors from developing leaders should be no more.

    Sounds good to me. But with Thunderbrd's new update, what revision will we be playing? I just updated to 5355 since it has both of Thbd's updates to deving leaders and a number of other bugfixes.

    maybe 5361? or maybe later if comes something important at the time:p

    EDIT: how about enabling game option focused traits? who wish it in and who wish it out?
    if you don't like playing with pure traits, maybe better would be just focused traits (but impure).
    this is first time i'm testing tthem and sounds funny (ls612, could you consider making your focused negative traits more impure anyway ;) ?)

    is this change acceptable in our settings?

    okay if nobody knows - game didn't yet started, I welcome any newcomers, and ask for starting date?
    time region is europe, but anybody can join if he/she would have time between 1PM and 9PM of GMT


    EDIT: sorry should I begin new thread, because this one died? It has bizzarre name for new subforum, and changing thread name didn't work :(

    well, I'll make a proposal: we start tomorrow at 20:00 GMT+1
    we need at least to see if we can start succesfully a game on direct IP (if we're still playing this way), then when everybody is ready we can start the real match

    Hello (first forum post here :) )

    I registered just so you know i'm available and very interested in a c2c mp game.
    I'm from belgium and my friend could also be interested in a mp game.

    I discovered c2c about 6months ago (v24) and loved it!

    Recently, with 2 friends we tried to play a mp game in direct ip connection but it failed miserably due to multiple oos exception. After researchs we used all the safe-mode tricks (no event, cache dumping before each start, no revolution, minimum number of rules) but that too didn't worked.
    We even tried to play WITH the oos for 100 turn or so and reload the save at that point. The results were that some units disappeared other reappeared and some changed place, also some building like the master hunter disappear if you built it during the oos... And those bugs were only during the prehistoric era, with more units in later era or during a war, oos makes mp impossible.

    So I was very interested when I saw this topic, do you use special parameter to make mp work?

    Anyway, I hope you would a accept a totally new member of this forum for your game :) .
