Angola Rebels:

The Angolan Rebels' government has reasoned the war with Angola would harm the global revolution. As such, we have decided to offer a ceasefire to Luanda for the time being.

Deal. You guys can revolt again once we're done with our spat with the USSR.

In other news, Angola declares war on the USSR

Iraqi Government Falls! New Babylon Promises a Bright Future Ahead!

After a series of non-violent protests over the last year, the dictatorship of what was once Iraq officially ceased to exist. After the death of the former dictator, the military forces ceded control of the nation to the people of Iraq. After the Velvet Party, the chief opponents of the old regime, took control of the government, they officially renamed the nation to New Babylon, and oversaw the transformation of the country into a Republic. "This is a great day for the people of New Babylon," remarked former Velvet protestor and the newly elected President of New Babylon Alan Yasin. "As we wash away the corruption of the old regime, New Babylon will lead the charge to a glorious future!"

Yasin's first act in office was to lay out a plan to expand and modernize the nation, dubbed The Bright Future Act. New Babylon has laid claims to the oil fields of the South Arabian peninsula, and has also sent new diplomats to the other nations of the world. "We must show the world that we are strong, and that we will work in tandem to make the world a better place," an anonymous diplomat told reporters.

Oh yay. More competition in the middle east. At least your a Muslim country right?

Anyone else wish to declare war on the USSR? More notably, any nations that are across the world want to jump on the bandwagon?

It's a good idea to send your troops to die by my hand, so that other, less rash players can sneak attack you and crush you.

We're a free religion republic, thank you very much. :p

Well let's put it like this, you don't expand westward and we have no problems.

Also to Tyo: Any further expansion into the Anatolian peninsula will be seen as an act of aggression against the Anatolian people and will be responded with force. Same goes for the Byzantines.

You realize I'm the most powerful economic(Okay shared position but whatevs)-and by next turn militarily- strong nation yes?

And you do realize that taking Anatolian provinces will lower your industry rating by a ton? Not to mention that I made the country for laughs, never was supposed to be successful.

I wonder where all that money went into if not industry? :mischief:

A really expensive harem? :mischief:

Making a nation just to get it killed isn't fun. I expect that you at the very least want your nation to live to some extent.
And by no means am I gonna annex your territory. It would be adverse to everything I've done thus far.

YES a harem that will be the envy of the world, men will fall to their knees when the see it! :D

It's not so much as to get it killed as it is to test some of the mechanics of the game and whether they will break or bend before making my real country.

There is no revolution within a thousand miles of Baghdad! It is a lie constructed by the infidel Americans! They are committing suicide at the gates!

Welcome to the game, Lec!

You have been given 8 armies and have 101 gold to spend as you please. :)

Don't forget players at war have a few penalties, even if not directly sending troops. I hope America/China intend to colonise the area, because as it stands, a state of war is simply making corporations wary to invest in such areas. :p

Meanwhile Katterland has the right idea and is playing peaceful, building up his industry and GDP to an unrivalled status while you all slaughter eachother.

I suppose it should also be mentioned how odd it is that no one declared war on Oz when they attacked the Formatics... but suddenly everyone wants a piece of the USSR... :mischief:

I wouldn't say militarily... but whatever.
:)

Indeed. You can always sell off some tech! :mischief: Or gift it, inefficient as that is.

A really expensive harem? :mischief:

Legit enough for me!

Said Bob on national radio while on the first helicopter out.

I'm here, waving my hands fervently in the air saying the same thing. The stupidity of GCI-MA alliance is making my brain melt. *points at both Chinas, and Australia, and Crusaders, and Voodoo pizzaman (lol)*

If somehow you oust me out of Partitionia and manage to crush my country, I'll be in hell laughing as you are so far behind, others will just take you over easily.

Plus, what does everyone have against the USSR? :)

Honest question: Why are people defending a certain someone who nuked half the world into oblivion last game?
Hmm?

Because it's a new game? Or maybe they want to be on his side when the nukes start to fall?
