Official Response to the Crusades Revelation from the Holy See.

The Holy See is outraged at the possibility of scurrilous attempts by the Manx to slander our good name out of what we can only presume would be (if true) a bid to, at any price, restore their imperium with the aid of Romnesia. Especially when we protected them from certain, absolute destruction at the hands of the Netherscots. However we are merciful and will retain our protection over them under the terms that were agreed should they publically apologise to the Holy See, and submit their military forces to direct papal oversight and command.
We also request that the Netherscots prepare their forces to strike the Imperium in the event they attack the Papal States or any client thereof. We protected the Manx, but should such treason against Christendom occur in the manner of an attack it should not be left unpunished and our protection shall be utterly and completely void.

In regards to Romnesia, we have always known that they have despised us for reasons known only to Romney himself. We also know, and the world can see, that Romnesia under Romney has always being a nation posessed with the great sin of hubris, of arrogance and of deception and dishonesty and this revelation today shows,
from a nation formerly allied with Romnesia to the point of assisting them in a long and fruitless war no less, the true depravity of that nation.
The Holy See as such calls upon those nations whom have defensive pacts with the Holy See, and upon its clients to prepare for imminent war in the event of Romnesian attack on the Papal States or indeed upon those under its patronage, be it through conventional means or through covert acts of aggression as described by the Spammers Crusade. We would particularly urge all our clients to prepare their intelligence forces for the prospect of foreign subversion by Romnesia or those depraved nations that would call themselves its allies.
We ask this because the peace the Papal States has worked for throughout all these years to develop is a treaure worth defending, and is something that belongs to all nations and realms of goodwill and to the people of those countries who have resided in this peace, and have as such been free from the violence and ruin plaguing nations such as Romnesia itself. Indeed Romney by this revelation of utter depravity shows himself to be an enemy not only of the Papal States, but of God and of all civilisation.
We request furthermore in the interests of peace that Granada closes the straits of Gibraltar, and that Sinai does the same for the Suez canal to Romnesia and its allies and clients, so that such rampant aggression cannot reasonably occur. We do not expect them of course to declare war on Romnesia, indeed the Papal States does not, and will not be the one that initiates a war against Romnesia which will only cause suffering to the people he ostensibly serves, but really oppresses by his very ineptitude and belligerency.
Finally, we enact an embargo on Romnesia and call upon all our clients, allies and indeed all nations of goodwill and civilisation to embargo Romnesia, and in regards to those nations that still see fit to associate with Romnesia to this day after all its transgressions, insults, prideful utterances and profane behaviours, to dissassociate and abjure association with Romnesia, which has clearly become a rogue state.

Summary of Diplomatic Requests
1: Call upon those nations with Defensive Pacts with the Papal States to have their forces prepared to assist in the Papal States defence in the event of an attack. (ergo for those not involved, or not intending to be involved in West Africa have some of their navies prepared to defend the Papal Coast)
2: Called our clients to military readiness both in the conventional sense against Romney and his clients and in the sense of the threat of Romnesian and allied agents.
