Multipolarity IV Game Thread

OOC: Jeho, if I post all the PM's you send me, you will be destroyed. So please stop your rhetoric against Mongolia.

Also, Tani, I think that Mongolia has too little influence while other nations started with huge amount of influence. It makes diplomacy with NPC nations impossible unless I spend my entire income on influence for the next 10 turns.

IC:

To Kingdoms of Brunei, Timor, Sulawesi, and Australia:

You know, we like how all nations embargo Mongolia for freeing the Chinese people from dictatorial rule and exporting democracy, real democracy, for the first time in China, and no one embargoes the Crimson Court for having slaves and killing them. Also, we like how no one embargoes the Golden Horde for invading Hindustan.

To Golden Horde:

We believe that you should stop your aggression against Hindustan. It is against Buddhism, right?

OOC: sorry Tyo. :(

IC:

To: United Kingdom of America, Puerto Rico, Caracas, and Peru
From: The Combined Syndicates of America

We greet our new-found comrades, some of the Revolution and others not. We'd like to ask that if it would be possible to station small contingents of the Red & Black army of the Combined Syndicates within the borders of each of your nations. As the saying goes, "In times of peace, prepare for war." We would like to ensure that our new-found allies both trust our word to defend each of your nations to the last and are adequately defended. These are only small parts of the Syndicalist army, amounting to only 12,000 men from the army and 5,000 men from the navy per garrisoned contingent in case you are still for whatever reason wary of the combined Syndicates. But we would still be giving your country a very good defensive force; the Combined Syndicates takes pride in having one of the most advanced armies in the world. We thank you for your consideration and eventual response.

Signed, Head of State and Government Richard Carter

The UKA are concerned of the deployment of its fellow American nations' troops along the borders in rather closeness. For the sovereignty of states and the temporal nature of alliances I will have to decline this border issue but be sure that this is not a sign of ill feelings, just need to be sure that when our alliance ends you will not have a distinct logistical advantage in my kingdom.

The Caribbean will agree under a condition: we deploy 2000 of our army and 4000 of our navy into your land as a sigh that we are close and that we consider this as a opportunity to conduct joint training exercises, especially in the art of foco style guerrilla warfare. Deal?

Carcacas is quite concerned about the idea of what this would go with public opinion. As such we would suggest joint border stations composing of both our forces as a sign of our equal relationship. They will compose of 5000 army and 5000 navy, half set with our forces and half your own. Deal?

Peru could do with the safety resolution in our closeness to both Ecuador and the Amazons, both we do not quite trust in how committed they are in not attacking us. As such we will agree on condition we do not have to pay the maintenance for it and your troops can then help train our forces better in the arts of defence.

To: Sweden
From: Combined Syndicates

We offer full economic support. We would also consider taking possession of Icelandic assets if you are not going to seize them yourself.

To: Finland
From: Combined Syndicates

The Icelanders will stop at nothing to annex all of Scandinavia. If you value your independence I advise offering military assistance to the Swedes immediately. If you do, we promise to stop at nothing to provide economic aid. The Wretch that is King of Iceland-Norway has voiced his opinion already: if you reject annexation, they will force it upon you. You can also take this as a guarunteeing of Finnish independence.

Sweden accepts your support, although please do not harm Icelandic citizens and their assets: we do not what to harm the common citizen do we?

Finland values its independence greatly. We hence declare that we will set troops to help the Swedish nation survive. We will of course require your own military involvement in the matter to ensure victory. Hence please be sure to not only aid us economically. We have heard of your military border offer in America: would you be so kind to ship some of your troops to Finland to station along our borders? Consider this a defence plot to deter the Icelandic aggression. Of course full on aid would be lovely.

Expansion of the Mongolian Military:

Ue4iVf4.jpg

Mongolia, seeing the new threat posed by the Imperialist Autocratic Slave State of the Crimson Court, has decided to expand it's military to 1,200,000 men by next year, who will be supplied with some of the best weapons in the world. The plan is that in the next 7 years, the Mongolian Military shall reach the size of 3,000,000 men.

Oh look, the aliens lied. How unexpected.

To be fair, it seemed that his plan assumed Iceland would be there and independence would result. Except Iceland decided to tie itself down in Sweden.

Bingo.

It is not our fault that Iceland-Norway decided not to send colonists to Socotra; furthermore, Antioch should have noticed that Socotra is in fact currently independent.

(It's has a place in the influence sheet & everything)

UKA: Fair enough.
Caribbean, Caracas, Peru: Accepted on all accounts.

Don't have time to answer sweden's and Finland's concerns. Will adress later.

O
Also, Tani, I think that Mongolia has too little influence while other nations started with huge amount of influence. It makes diplomacy with NPC nations impossible unless I spend my entire income on influence for the next 10 turns.

I have a huge amount due to me spending money on useful ventures, such as not Army Quality. I didn't get to the levels I am at now by invading my neighbor and pumping it all into a single tech.

Not to mention you did get a manpower bonus.

The four countries you're referring to are also all client kingdoms of the Court.

And there HAVE been embargoes against the Court. Yellow China collapsed and Timor and Sulawesi are now kingdoms of the Court. Unlike Mongolia, we've learn to work with what we have effectively, and don't believe in petty things such as "revenge" that could have easily dragged us down with Timor and Sulawesi. Instead, we laced up our boots and struck deal after deal, not fire bullet after bullet.

Truly, rule under a just monarch is preferable to rule under a corrupt democracy.

OOC: Caracas doesn't have the troops for such a deal, they only have 1113 in each military branch. :p :OOC

Argentina is glad that Caracas agreed with our suggestion of reducing the numbers they accepted into the country.

Peru could do with the safety resolution in our closeness to both Ecuador and the Amazons, both we do not quite trust in how committed they are in not attacking us. Argentina is sad to see that Peru has declined to take our advice, but will restate our commitment to defending them regardless of what other allies they are gaining.

-----

The situation was deteriorating rapidly. Throughout Asia, Africa, and Europe small conflicts were erupting into large ones. Violence was running pell-mell across the old world. Even North America had tensions rising across both the pacific and Atlantic oceans. South America was an island in a storm, and Awesome McCoolname had no idea how long he could keep it that way.

It was true that Awesome had a history of success, just last year he had negotiated a continental trade agreement. But he had yet to be tried against the fires of war, and given the number of pacts signed with Argentina's neighbours he had no confidence he could keep them all neutral. War, it seemed probable, was looming in the future of South America.

It had to be avoided, the minister knew. A war would destroy the fragile confidence that he had worked so hard to build, both amongst the continent and within Argentina itself. People were taking their first few steps on the path to a brighter future, and now was no time to allow for violent diversions. Now was no time to fail.

-----

Argentina is sad to see the world has errupted into such violent chaos, and hopes that all nations shall find a way to resolve their conflicts as soon as possible. We are also hoping that the conflicts shall not expand and become even more destructive, although this seems unlikely at the current time.

I, Stafan II of the Kingdom of Poland, welcome investment into my realm.

OOC: Oops.

Well... err... I am unsure how to respond.

IC: Caracas wishes to apologise for its overestimation of its military and will consider rebuilding its military to enhance security. We are close to the protection of the CSA, which we accept the defence policy of.

Peru can have more than one ally. We just wish to be sure the Amazons do not turn their uncanny eyes on us.

we did not invade Iron China because of revenge, but because we want to export democracy.

we did not invade Iron China because of revenge, but because we want to export democracy.

This is the first time democracy came up. Four years ago, Mongolia made clear its intentions to conquer the entire region, democracy or not.

The embargoes will continue until Mongolia withdraws from Iron China.

We want to end the slave autocratic regime and replace it with a Republic that respects it's citizens. If we were the bad conquerors, then why we let the Chinese vote a Senate, have self-rule and divided the lands of the rich landlords among the Chinese peasants so each Chinese would have his own small piece of land?

Iron China wasn't a slave state. I would know, because I know every slave state in the world. Iron China is no slave state.

Not to mention that you're Morgorian.

Morgorian? You mean Mongolian?

In an effort to continue financing the war for Africa, Tayloristan has expanded its summer weapons mail order catalog:

Breeze-class Dirigible

The Breeze-class is recognizable in a thousand ports of call all over the world as Tayloristan's primary mass-produced cargo zeppelin. Capable of carrying up to 275 tons of cargo in three sealable bays with a crew of between two and eight at up to 135kph depending on windspeed, the Breeze-class is ideal for the rising merchant looking to restore his fortunes. The airship's engines are electric and recharged by wind and solar power, removing petty concerns such as fuel. While the craft is designed to float using low-grade flotation gas (Only manufactured in Tayloristan), the Breeze-class can float on hydrogen at cargo weight reduction to 75 tons and a speed reduction to 95kph.

BOLT rocket

The BOLT rocket is the iconic invention of Monsterguard, which ensured the formation of the Big Three. Old G-1 Luna's used to carry this ingenious device up to bring down airships. The BOLT rocket consists of an armor-piercing tip designed to smash through 135mm of steel, wherein the tip is ejected and the BOLT explodes inside the target releasing a shower of white-hot steel ball bearings designed to make swiss cheese out of gasbags and ignite the flotation gases.

Dimensions: 3 meter length by .466 meter diameter.

G-1 Luna

Dimensions: 13.02 meters long by 14 meter wingspan.
Engines: Dual wing-inset turbojets.
Armament: 15x74mm machine gun(2, nose-mounted); Two BOLT rockets or similarly proportioned weapons.
Crew: 1

The first ground-based turbojet interceptor, the G-1 Luna is the direct ancestor of the G-2 Shooting Star & G-5 Comet and the indirect ancestor of the UH-10 Chippewa and Mullen Skeeter Eagle. The G-1 Luna maintains an unmatched combat record in Tayloristani history, and is now available for purchase in military or revolution-ready condition for a low low price!

Si-15-F Grand Dominator

Dimensions: 10.11 meters long by 11.5 meter wingspan.
Engines: Single in-fuselage turbojet.
Armament: 23x82mm autocannon(3, nose-mounted); one drop-weapon weighing up to 300 kilograms.
Crew: 1

The first jet craft ever to be practically carried by a zeppelin may now be purchased! This particular example was explicitly designed to shoot down the comparatively maneuverable and well-armed for their size (compared to dirigibles) helicopters often carried by zeppelins. Tayloristan recommends receiving training in our air force before attempting to land on a dirigible - in the meantime, the Si-15-F has the potential to an excellent tank hunter.

Fill out the detachable card and purchase from us today! Support African independence!

This is stupid Chinese propaganda and racist against the Mongolian people.

Friendly reminder to put troop stationing in one's orders in orders for them to count...

Embargoes are not required but there's less chance I'll miss them if they're in your PM'd orders.

Kinich beat me to the punch.

Mechanically, Socotra is still split between the 501st and Iceland-Norway. Roleplay wise it's more 501st than Scandinavian, hence the bonus.

Also, Tani, I think that Mongolia has too little influence while other nations started with huge amount of influence. It makes diplomacy with NPC nations impossible unless I spend my entire income on influence for the next 10 turns.

Mongolia has extra manpower and has spent a lot of its money internally rather than externally.

See Congo and the CSA, which have the same starting economy as Mongolia, yet have made investments abroad and have a large chunk of influence as a result. With the remainder spent building up their internal economy.

Mongolia could have been the same way but spent its money on military prowess instead of economic and diplomatic.

Sweden accepts your support, although please do not harm Icelandic citizens and their assets: we do not what to harm the common citizen do we?

Finland values its independence greatly. We hence declare that we will set troops to help the Swedish nation survive. We have heard of your military border offer in America: would you be so kind to ship some of your troops to Finland to station along our borders? Iceland suggests that Finland cease with its course unless it wants to face a similar fate to Sweden. We have not shown any aggression towards you. If the Finns send aid to Sweden, it will be treated as though Finland attacked Iceland in an act of aggression (negating the guarantee of independence).

We also laugh at offers of material help; thanks to the blockade of Sweden, the routes into Sweden are controlled by Iceland.

This is a Scandinavian matter. I would be much obliged if foreign powers stayed out of an in-house conflict.

Sweden: Though you foolishly rejected our offer of a greater Scandinavian Union, with Sweden playing an equal role to Iceland and Norway, we will offer it to you again, in your darkest hour, so that many lives on both sides can be spared. If you do not accept this, we will be forced to continue our attack and - believe me - I do not want to see more pure, Scandinavian blood spilled.

The Swedish government would, if you surrender, remain in place mostly unchanged - we don't want to build an administration from scratch - and you would retain a large degree of autonomy. The only concessions you would have to make would be, naturally, allowing Icelandic troops within your borders, paying taxes to Reykjavik and Oslo as well as Stockholm, providing troops if you are called upon, and accepting Lief II as the King of Sweden.

All these invasions have given the wind to organisations.

Ashanti has seen the rise of the Ashanti Rebel Alliance, a union of a diverse range of ideological rebellious groups of different ideologies.

Hindustan has seen the rise of the Shadow Brigade for Hindustan, a Foco in its guerrilla style of warfare. It will work closely with the main military of Hindustan in resistance.

In occupied China the Phoenix Pact rises as a united force rather than a alliance of rebellious groups destined to face off against the Mongol invaders, although a split has emerge between those who see no difference from the invading nation and the Golden Horde with those who see the need to get the support of the Golden Horde.

The Perth-Peel Devils, a anti-royalist movement in West Australia, that has also attracted the crowds of democrats and the anti-capitalist sentiment that is likely to appear from having both your Australia controlled by corporate powers. Determined to undermine the unite Australian government.

Sweden however is a different tale. Due to the humanistic nature of the occupation of Sweden we can have two faction split off: the Legion to Free Sweden set to oppose the Norse and the Swedish Brotherhood of the Norse Family, a Pan-Scandinavian Swedish organisation that will fight the LtFS on the Icelandic behalf. These organisation now face each other as Sweden's government itself is split over a issue; will a minor civil war face off in Sweden that can be set in the favour of Iceland? Time may tell.

Finally...

Finland declares that if its supplies be treated as warring so bet it. It will face off against absolutism in Sweden's defence.
