My computer turns off when starting up

65C is very high. You need to improve the cooling somehow even if the heat isn't the cause of your problem.

A better answer on cooling (65°C is a bit high for the CPU)

You probably need to consider taking your fan & heatsink off your CPU, cleaning it, putting on some thermal paste, then putting the heatsink back on again. You may even want to consider a new cooler.

The fan & heatsink aren't that difficult to remove. Look on the internet for how to do it.

Once done, you will need some ispropyl alcohol to remove any old thermal paste from the heat sink & top of the CPU. Then get some new thermal paste, and put the heat sink back-on.

For thermal paste, I would recommend this. It very cheap, but works well.

ANother option:
Look in your bios when you start up your PC (hit "del" as its booting). There may be a section in there that you can change the fan control method to put it on manual. I had problems with auto-mode on mine, and it would overheat occasionally. Putting it on manual fixed that.

I took it to the shop and they put in a new power supply and doubled my RAM. Now the PC runs faster, about 15C cooler, and quieter - plus it no longer shuts down without warning. Woohoo!
