Yes. The screenshot you posted is NOT what you had anymore.

The last 8 icons (leaders & armies) were at the bottom of the page.

I fixed it. :cooool:
The only bad news is that I moved 4 units. I think it was a viking and 3 blueish guys. They are now after a black and red guy.

Here you go:

Zulu - Here is your screenshot from page 3:

The black outlined area is where they were supposed to be.

The red outline is where I moved the 4 custom units to.

The bottom was where the leaders were. THATS why they wouldnt upgrade.

No - the screenshot does match the content of the file, I just checked. I think what's happened is that Windows has used the internet temporary files to simply re-download a file you already have. The problem was discussed earlier in this thread. So delete your internet history and temp files and d/l again.

zulu - I downloaded the file before the updated mega-units. Sorry.

I just opened the latest file, and it looks correct.
I will install it and see what happens in one of my saved games.

Hi everyone!

I am new to editing, I have the basics down but I am having problems figuring out how to edit the unit_32, I have 7 diff unit_32's each of them have units that the other dosn't. I am tring to compile them all onto 1 like you guys have but I cant figure out how. A walkthrough would be much appreciated...

Thx. Damon

It's absolutely easy. Open a graphic, mark the unit-tile you want to add to another grphic, and copy it. Open the file where you want to have it and paste it. Move the tile over a free tile in this graphic and voilá, save it!

Nahuixtelotzin - I have tried that but I'll try it again, How can I make more tiles so that I have lots of room to work with? Like I said I am new to editing hehe.

Thx I got it, I figured it out but I still need to know how to make my page way bigger so I have lots of free tiles

@Damon, use KoC's or zulu's units_32 and back up your original.

Thats what I did. Windows explorer is a handy little tool. :D

@zulu - The only thing I can think of is perhaps the units_32 is too big, or the empty spaces between units causes a malfunction for the era change.

I forgot that checking a saved game wont work, right after I posted last. Changes dont appear except in new games.

I did start a fresh scenario in the modern age using player properties in the editor. I added a leader and army too.
All units appeared in the correct modern era graphics in the build list.

Joespaniel, yah I have Zulus but I have other unit_32's that have other diff units in them. So I am using his as a base and added all the xtra units in. but I have more I would like to add but I am out of room just about, so my ? was how do I make a Huge Blank unit_32 tile page...

OK, I've still not figured out that minor problem is. joespaniel - by playing a scenario that starts in the modern age, you always get the correct era icons. The problem only arises when the game actually has the change over from eras.

Anyway, in the meantime I've updated the file again:

Aztec Monk
Halberdier
Tarkan
Hussar
Eagle Warrior
A-10 Thunderbolt
Strike Fighter
Trimotor Bomber
T26 Medium Tank
Dropship
Laser Infantry
Barbarian Galley
Pirate Galley
Peltast (attack motion)
Phalangite
SCUD Launcher (in launch position)
Horse Archer (redone - galloping position)

I also redid some of the other icons to show the civ-specific colours.

Thank you zulu. I also am curious how you expand the size of the background sheet.

I'm playing a game that I started after installing the mega-units_32. I'll see if the same thing happens to me. ;)

Hello all, I loaded the Zulu ver-3 from above last night and it worked fine (Simply extracted to my art\units directory). And that was it. The only issue that came up was within the editor/scenario file it scrammbled all _32 the matchings. Bothersome but nothing an hour of re-shuffling wont fix. Really like the choices though. :goodjob:

Oh great, nope have not even passed 1st era... I presume by Zulu's comment that the last post above is not fully functional/tested? I apologize for my confusion :crazyeye: but which of these expanded unit 32's is solid? Has anyone gone the full game w/ any others after Kittens original? I did see some comments on this thread leading me to think these are ready.
I may try to edit scenario to start in Modern era... Do you think this would test the Mod?
Also... Thanks for the tip Zulu, like everyone I hate finding bugs deep in game.

this is not really a mod - it just replaces the units_32.pcx file that comes with the game. All the new units that we like to add to the game each need their own icon. This file provides those icons, and I will keep updating it. Place the file in your Civilization III\Art\Units folder.
