To: Bordel
From: Ashlo

This crusade was called to destroy the corrupt religion of Reformed Ashloain that has defected from our pure Orthodox Ashloain. If you can help us with this task we would be very grateful.

TO ALL PLAYERS
I apologize for my slow update, I've been busy with my EMT class starting and pulling shifts at the fire station. I should have time soon to update.

N-NES Update 3 12PQ
(12 years post-quake)

Northern Zaldorn

Teracion

Southern expedition success! - Teracion sent an expeditionary force south the attempt to find suitable lands, or villages, of men that may not be connected to any other nation. They came across a few destroyed villages with nothing but dead bodies and broken buildings left behind, however eventually they came across a couple villages of people who asked them into their villages. While in these villages the men of Teracion talked to them about their plans, and offered assistance to these villagers who were undergoing major famine and raids from the troll clans of the area. These villagers advised them to not worry about these lands and asked if they could join them and return to the kingdom of Teracion.
+ Stability.

Kaldorn

Mining operation makes a sudden discovery. - In northern Kaldorn the mining operations have made a huge turn around after the collapse from last year. During the mining operation in the north they came across an odd looking corridor deep inside the base of a mountain with what looked to be an alter hidden for years. Some believe this to be an alter to a rumored ancient religion but nobody knows the true name of the religion, all they know is it worshiped a once powerful god who was said to live in the core of the world. The people of Kaldorn were very pleased with this finding and researchers were sent immediately to investigate the alter and unlock any hidden secrets it holds.

Pasod

Disease plagues Pasod... - This year a disease spread rampant through out the nation of Pasod as a transport ship returned from the continent of Casoon carrying back some ores. Since they have never seen such a disease such as this before they don't know how to cure it yet and wonder how badly this will affect their nation in the next couple years.

Mattle

Camp established on south island. - Through the storms that accompanied this year the nation of Mattle was still able to establish a large camp on the island just south of their main island, as well as fortify their village on the main land of Zaldorn.
+Expansion.

Multiple storms hit Mattle. - Earthquakes on the northern island, tsunami's to their southern island and finally rainstorms that brought floods with them all over their nation. These freak storms were all accompanied by the arrival of a mysterious ship off the coast of their main island, the ships captain arrived on shore with a squad of men covered in scaly skin and bright green slights for eyes. The captain himself was an 8 foot tall pale green smooth skinned, bright blue glowing eyes, creature who called himself Seavist the son of Seavar...

Southern Zaldorn

Bordel

Battle in Vantok! - This year Bordel's own King Brax II lead a massive attack upon the eastern city of Vantok of Valmend. Brax II's strategy paid off as they completely destroyed the city of Valmend and forced the troops there to fall back even further as Bordel occupied Valmend.
Bordel: +Influence, +1 Footman.
Vantok: -Influence, -Stability, -3 Footmen.

Settlements discovered. - Bordel sent an exploration party north of the lake just outside of their nation in search of any settlements. There they found multiple settlements who were in no danger of anything but where able to convince them to join their nation with offers of growing even stronger for both them and Bordel.
+Territory, +1 Mounted, +1 Siege.

Ashlo

Eyes set on expansion. - King Charles-Ash IV decided that if he were to better his nation militarily and politically they would need more territory then they currently possessed. Charles-Ash IV also was aware of the decline in stability of the nation of Sention, and that Vantok was losing their war with Bordel and realized this was the perfect opportunity to expand. The King himself lead an expansion party east in hopes of expanding his old nation.
+Expansion.

Sention

Sention falls. - The nation of Sention finally has fallen into utter chaos as a full fledged civil war has erupted and consumed the entire nation. What will emerge after this civil war is finished is still unclear.

Northern Casoon

Darmaz

War on Felrend! - A vicious battle took place as Darmaz led a massive assault on the demonic nation of Felrend this year. The initial siege took a couple months as the orcs prepared to break through the massive walls constructed by the demons. After the walls finally crumbled it was Do'ram, not Garmoz, who's squad struck first as Do'ram let out his barbaric war cry to let his troops know it was time to strike their enemies hard. Do'ram's squad left none in their wake as they took on wave after wave of demons and Garmoz led his orcs around to hit the area where the demonic portals were guarded. Garmoz and his troops killed all the portal guardians they could find, as the guardians fell the portals exploded scarring any orc and demon to close to the fel eruptions. As Garmoz and Do'ram met up in the heart of the demon camp they met the Swarm Captain Grishnog who began to chant and turn the skies a dark red and rain demons down upon the orc army. The orcs were to strong for the demons that Grishnog summoned, so Grishnog called out for his leader... Overseer Valgod himself. Although Grishnog begged his master to come save him Valgod refused and said Grishnog would just be replaced, after that Grishnog looked at Garmoz and challenged him to a final battle one on one. Garmoz stepped up towards Grishnog who then laughed and surrounded both creatures in a ring of green fire and engaged the orc in melee combat as Garmoz began to gain the upper hand Grishnog summoned a dead demon back to life inside the ring of fire who struck Garmoz in the back with a massive claw, Garmoz slew the demon and turned his attention back to Grishnog. To Garmoz's amazement he saw Do'ram leap through the fire and cut the Swarm Captains head clear off, then reversed the motion of his axe to separate the torso from the legs of the creature who then exploded sending both orcs falling backwards and knocking them unconscious.
Darmaz: +Influence, +1 level Do'ram (level 2), -4 Footmen, (Do'ram and Garmoz are unable to be used next turn.)
Felrend: -Influence, - Hero Grishnog, - 6 Footmen.

Grenoc

Strike Felrend. - Champion Norvash led an assault to aid the orcs of Darmaz this year, they arrived during the siege of the Felrend camp and help to destroy the walls. They took a different route then the orcs as the walls feel, they elocs went to the back side of the city and started pushing the waves of demons inward to funnel them along with the orcs. They made a distraction big enough to lure a majority of the demons so that the orcs could destroy the portals and confront the Swarm Captain himself. As the skies turned red however the demons that Grenoc were fighting began to sore into the air and fall in the center of the town, realizing what was going on the elocs began to recklessly attack the demons to weaken them as much as possible to help their orc allies.
+Influence, - 1 Footman, Champion Norvash increased to level 4.

Project completed! - The Grenoc city has been completely repaired from the effects of the Quake. This repairing has greatly satisfied the elocs of Grenoc and increased the mobility within the nation.
+Stability, +1 Resource per turn.

Southern Casoon

The Dark Legion

Cool update dude.

To: Charles-Ash IV, King of Ashlo
From: King Brax II, King of Bordel

The war against Vantok goes well on my part; will I be able to count on further assistance by your troops in the coming days? Let us wipe these heretics from this world.

From: The Kingdom of Teracion, the Offices of King Sylon of That Realm, Speaker of the Church of Seavar
To: Enemies of the Kingdom

Let it be known that Teracionic expansion shall continue southward, and those that would stand in our way shall be mercilessly crushed under the boots of our armies. Seavar wills it!

To: Overseer Valgod
From your Lord and Conqueror

Dear Valgod, how is life? I am fine really, despite suffering from being trapped inside a barrier for the last couple of year syndrome. I am saddened really, you never, ever sent any postcards.

I wanted postcards.

Oh well. I guess it would be fine if you were too busy with your job. What did I task you to do? Was it "ooh let's go ahead and kill everyone?" Hmm, that must be right because you never lifted a finger to help me out in the last five hundred years.

Oh well. Old grudges aside. I am coming to visit. You better have prepared a feast by the time I arrive there.

To the Dunaai
From Your Lord and Conqueror

But don't think I've forgotten about you fools. What, did you think you would be able to trap me within the barrier until the end of time? Fools, you will pay for your insolence.

To Emperor Bassoc
From your Lord and Conqueror

Your desire to steal my power and use it for your own benefit, not merely trap me within the barrier impresses me...I shall hereby put you on the list of "potential friends."

I like building and builders challenge (in oppose to all out war) and would like to claim nation of Sention.

To: The Orcs of Casoon
From: Grenoc

The demonic taint has been released upon our world once again! Brothers, we must ban together to stop its spread and this time destroy the monsters, once and for all! What say you? Will you join in this crusade against evil?

The Warchief's newsbearers had little with them. A simple spear, a wooden tube on his back, obviously a modified sheath or quiver, and a satchel on their hips. Their chests bore no heavy armor, only a very colorful representation of The Fist of Garmaz, Garmaz's official seal. They went forth into Casoon to speak on the Warchief's behalf.

The Warchief's official newsbearers:
From:Warchief Garmaz and Conqueror Do'ram
To: All of Casoon

"The Warchief and the Conqueror have, with the strategic help of Grenocian warriors, ruined the southern half of Felrend. Much celebration should be had. We will, however, have to wait on the parties and feasts. The Northernmost and probably most dangerous city is yet to be conquered. The Darkest One has escaped his prison, as all of us knew he would, and will surely try to overcome us. This is the time that we must cooperate to the fullest in every aspect. The Warchief proposes that all of Casoon prepares to stand against the Darkest One, and that we stop the silly notions of imprisonment and end the reign of the Darkest one forever."

The newsbearer rolls up the canvas and puts it into a wooden tube on his back. Without any formalities, he sprints in the direction of the next settlement. These newsbearers were tasked with spreading the dark rumors of The Darkest One's return and to spread the good news of Felrend's eventual downfall. The Warchief gave them explicit orders to run to the far reaches of Casoon and tell anyone that would listen. He knew even as he gave those orders it was probably too late.

OOC: Fun update, Nailix. Looking forward to the next one!

From: Speaker Sylon of the Teracion Church of Seavar
To: Mattle, "Seavist"

The Church demands evidence that this "Seavist", is indeed the son of the God of the Waves. Failure to produce such evidence shall result in this person being deemed a charlatan in the eyes of the Church, and shall be outcast form the gates of the Kingdom. So says the Speaker!

Dropping this. Sorry I just cannot retain interest for some reason.

Just as a note, those newsbearers were running to every good nation in Casoon, even if it's an NPC.

So I guess it's my bad that only one person sent orders on time for not giving a 24 hour warning... so ORDERS DUE WEDNESDAY THE 13th!

I'll send my orders soon. Also, I'm trying to feel out Ashlo seeing as they are the only kingdom at this point that I can interact with on some useful level, so I'll be sending diplomacy to them from time to time, and would be cool if you could reply Nailix.
