Naming Thread

We could just call it Dromon City. Or is that too obvious?

How about The Claws or The Beak or something along those lines?

I thought we had a whole list of names... :dunno:

Indeed and a few in my opinion fits a unit builder city, or rather they all do but some more than others;

Birds of Prey
Talon
Claw
The Eagles Nest
Eagles' Trumpet
Nanny-nanny-boo-boo
West Point
Fort Brag
Cyclone City
The School
The Great Oak
Conviction
überlegen
THUMPER
Darkside
Winged Spear

I could have kept the whole list intact but to me more aggressive names or as I mentioned earlier sounding good in a Battle Report. IMO a unit name Draken from Nanny-nanny-boo-boo winning a battle and is reported sounds surprisingly good (whereas Nanny-nanny-boo-boo, where I am from is a child's reference to "you can't get me") Please don't take that wrong.

Although It may not have an equal impact crossed a language barrier.

I hope others will reply to this add and/or SUBTRACT from this list to help us narrow it down

How about Falconry?

The German term is Beizjagd

It's about training birds of pray for hunting. And eagles are also used for this kind of hunting. Not only falcons

I like it.:yup:

Looks like you have a winner. :yup:

Master of Ceremonies: And the winner for naming the fourth Eagle city is Calis, with his suggestion of Beizjagd.

:band: :woohoo:

Calis, tell us how you came up with this name.

Calis: Well, I -

MC: I'm so sorry, Calis, but that's all the time we have. Now for a word from our sponsor, One More Turn Anonymous.

And he's our funny basterd. I can't wait until he starts writing stories for us. CB's writing ability was one of the highlights of the last DG.

Aquila?

Sounds good to me. Wasn't that suggested by you a long time ago as our capital's name?
