A Broken Dream
In 2059, not fully 4 years after the end of the war that had shaken the earth to its core, literally, it stood clear even to the most recalcitrant conservatists in the senate that holding the U.S. together was a lost cause. Anti-Washington sentiments had been growing for a long time, and now burned too brightly to be ignored, let along quenched. First during the war, where the U.S. military despite its vast superiority was unable (some would say unwilling) to deflect the devastating attacks that had struck several major U.S. cities. And then in the aftermath of the war, when funds for reconstruction and humanitarian aide were pitifully short, and often squandered on useless prestige projects.
In February 2060, president Kennedy signed the formal documents that gave each state total sovereignity, thereby desolving the union. By the end of that year, several smaller unions were formed among neighboring states, while tensions continued to grow all over the continent.
It is now January 2061, and North America is on the brink of war. Do you have what it takes to carve out a new union for your glory?

Setup
This is a Diplomacy game, so it's not really a NES, more of a board game. That said, stories are of course highly encouraged. This diplomacy game will not use the standard map, but rather a map of North America, created by TheBladeRoden, with a scenario designed for eight players by yours truly.
