Pre-Turn: St. Regis is about to riot. If I raise luxury tax up we lose 14 gpt. Instead I move a citizen to work a river tile (less shields but enough commerce to have 1 happy, 1 unhappy).
IT: Barb horse takes out our settler. Barb warrior joins him in his victory dance. Salamanca Settler>Settler. Grand River Warrior>Warrior.
1225 BC: Wow! Im having to reposition citizens to keep them happy with a 30% luxury tax! Meet the Mayans. They have the same techs are other known neighbors have plus 450 gold! Check around and find that both the Mayans and the Ottomans are the cheapest ones to pick up Writing. Since the Ottomans are at 0 gold I buy through them.
Ottomans: We get Writing; we give 1 gpt and 193 gold.
Niagara Falls Worker>Worker. Centralia Warrior>Warrior.
1200 BC: Getting Writing opens up a lot of techs as you can see here:
Code of Laws is only known by two civs and Philosophy is known by three. So, I do this:
Maya: We get Code of Laws; we give 15 gpt and 18 gold.
Ottomans: We get Philosophy and 68 gold; we give Code of Laws.
Japan: We get Masonry, Horseback Riding, and Mysticism; we give Code of Laws, Philosophy, 2 gpt, and 82 gold.
Techs still left out there: Map Making, Mathematics, and Polytheism
IT: Grand River Warrior>Warrior. Tonawanda Barracks>Archer. Mauch Chunk Barracks>Archer. The Dutch have built the Great Lighthouse.
1175 BC: Zzzz
IT: Horse connected. Niagara Falls Worker>Worker.
1150 BC: Any archer builds were switched to Mounted Warriors.
IT: Salamanca Settler>Settler. Grand River Warrior>Warrior. Ottomans are building MoM.
1125 BC: Our curragh takes out a barb ship and is promoted.
IT: Niagara Falls Worker>Worker. Oil Springs Curragh>Curragh. The Ottomans establish an embassy with us.
1100 BC: Our curragh meets the Indians. They have Mathematics and 75 gold and are short Writing and Horseback Riding. The curragh sees a pink border to the south so Ill wait one turn before trading. With the Ottoman embassy we find they only know the Japanese and Russians.
IT: Barb ship fails to sink our exploring curragh. Another barb ship attempts to sink our curragh located at home. It fails and our curragh is promoted. Grand River Warrior>Warrior. Centralia Warrior>Warrior.
1075 BC: Caughnawaga founded, begins warrior. We meet the Incas. They are up Math, Map Making, Polytheism and have 13 gold. They are short Philosophy and Code of Laws. Current knowledge looks like this:
India: We get Mathematics and 75 gold; we give Writing and Horseback Riding
IT: Niagara Falls Worker>Worker. Maya, Ottomans, and Russia all have Construction.
1050 BC: Zzzz
IT: Salamanca Settler>Settler. Grand River Warrior>Barracks.
1025 BC: Zzzz
IT: Wasnt paying attention and lose a settler to a barb horse. Niagara Falls Worker>Worker. Tyendenaga Curragh>Barracks.
1000 BC: Vet curragh takes out another barb ship near our western coast. Take out the barb horse who killed our settler.
-Mauch Chunk has one taxman that should be kept for this turn only. This way we dont waste 1 food at growth and gain 1 commerce through taxes. After growth you may have to put one citizen working the coast to make enough commerce to keep the citizens happy.
-Every time Salamanca and Niagara Falls grows they need to be MMed so that they are at +5 food. For Salamanca that means taking the citizen off the forests and onto a watered plains. For NF that means taking the citizen off the forests and onto the mined grass.
-With no science commerce means everything so we need to make sure every tile is improved.
-There is a settler in Allegheny. Im not for sure where our city placement plans are.
