The suspected Iraqi nuclear weapons facility proved to be empty, just 18 Iraqi conscripts guarding it, and they surrendered without a fight. When the SAS regiment entered the facility to secure it and plant demolition charges, 400 Iraqi tanks rolled up to the facility. The 1.500 rebel soldiers either fled from the scene, or was quickly killed by the Iraqi Army. The commander of the Iraqi strike team issued an ultimatum to the SAS troopers inside the facility; surrender or die.(somene decide wich)
And in Mosul, the Kurds suffered defeat as the Republican Guarded launched scud missiled carrying Mustard Gas in to the Kurd controlled parts of Mosul, killing hundreds of innocent civilians including some rebels.
