NES World/Regional Maps Requests Thread

So here's a question - how many cities are too many?

Mrm, take it you've got access to that mapping software again? For how long? I'll have to try and put together that city list this weekend.

Yep, but no rush - I'm away till the 1st, and I have irregular access to it anyway*. Those are all in the right place to .1 accuracy, but since the software put down 1 pixel dots and then I had to place 4 pixel dots to show the city they might not be complete accurate. Plus I didn't really have a proper selection filters for which cities got it; just looked through one of my atlas's and put cities/towns that had names above a certain font size .

I think it looks pretty swish though

*I do some data crunching for a uni lecturer, but he is rarely in the country and I can only use the program with the mapping software when he's around to open the lab

Ok my give up. Does anyone (please!) have a map of Asia Minor somewhere around 180 BC? I just want to have an idea what states existed back then and what were their approximate borders. I got a few big ones like Cappadokia, Pontus and Bynithia. The rest I have no clue about.

Galatia in the heartlands--they were Celts of some kind who had migrated there, Paphlagonia in the north between Pontus and Bythnia. And then of course in the far east is Armenia.

What of the South (with South-West and South-East). Was Pergam a state?

Yeah, Pergamon was still a state (I think it was in alliance with Rome). Then the southeast was still Selucid.

Can someone beautify this map and bring it up to standards of the here and now. And if you could put in rivers that would be cool too. I suck so much.

Did you want color and size change and climates? Because if so, then you can wait a couple of months and I'll get to it.

Or... you could just do a cheap ripoff by stealing one of my maps and doing it that way?

I mean an already done map. It wouldn't be made to specs then, but it would be done.

I use photoshop cause paint is highly unreliable. Plus if you make mistakes you can go back more than 3 undos. Also the colors are alot easier to get to. And any color is instantly possible.

And lo, the mapmaker said, "save early and often, and thus you can use your backup copy."

Unless you can telepathically connect to photoshop in order to get the color you want, I doubt it. It's incredibly easy to do on paint.

And any color is instantly possible.

Same on paint.
