Need help turning this map into a standart NESing blue and white map

I could do it myself, but every time I save it I get the picture "recolored". I suspect its something to do with the old memory. Basically I painted the sea blue.... then saved. Then decided to change to another type of blue and when I saved again the things I did change in the map look kind of blurry. Anyone could tell me what the problem is?
dunno about the problem, but that map... it aint third age. Second age when the northern human kingdom was still alive?

That is because the way that .JPG files are compressed each time you save it, to avoid this problem save it as a .GIF. :)
Reno you know I like you :). In a good way ;)
I had this idea while getting out of bad 2 mins ago (Sunday was tiring), but you were still first, thanks!

Andis I know that, but all I need is the actual map that didn't change. Cities can be added on or erased later.

Actually i would rather play 2nd than 3rd age, or then even the 1st age. That one would be most interisting i think.

How could one draw mountain ranges? All my tries have been badly done. I can do them on paper, but not under Microsoft Paint. Any tips?

Well, you could just draw one mountain, then select it and duplicate a lot of times. That way you can place single mountains after eachother to create just the type of mountain range you want. Or you could just draw it once somewhere on the map and use the stamp function. This one is a bit tricky, but spares you of the trouble of placing the pasted mountains one by one. you just stamp it where you want it.

Thanks :) I now got NKs map and cut moutains and trees from there. Get ready for NES RPG!!!

I have a request, or if it's been made, a link to it.

I've decided that I suck at borders, and thus shouldn't be trusted to do make them myself, if I ever decide to do a NES. So basically, what I want is Jason's map with modern borders. If it's already been made, I'd be grateful it someone could dig it up, thank you!

I looked through the second map thread, found no versions of jason's map with modern borders, but there are some others.

Map 1
Map 2
Map 3
Map 4

Thank you very much, I have your map with the modern borders, but Symphony's also looks very nice so I'll snag it too. Thanks again!

I remember reading somwhere that the northern kingdom was reconstituted by Aragon when king, and its capital city rebuilt.

You should ask symphony, I believe they started adding rivers to it a while back. There should be a post of South America in the old map request thread with rivers for the map.

Nope, that's the Third Age. Some time before Rohan's founding (still called Calenardhon and still a Gondorian province). It's actually off the timeline as Rohan was founded before the Shire (IIRC), but the map has many other fan-created places so I'm not surprised.

Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur are the three successor states to the previous northern kingdom, Arnor.

Okay, after a few tries failed...

Panda, or somebody else, can you make a 1914 political world map, with borders, cities and capitals, WITHOUT any centers, on the basis of NK's latest map? Not really planning anything for it, but I have always found "1914 maps" useful as templates for 19th/20th century althist maps. Thanks in advance.

i need this section of the world.

w/ 1941 national borders (That is RIGHT BEFORE Germany invades the soviet union.)

and by a map i am talking HUGGGGE. Panda, you know what i mean by huge  dont color it, just map and borders. and capitals.

Thanks
