NES World/Regional Maps Requests Thread

Well duh, I'd rather use my SMITE EVIL ability! Liches have far too great HD to be turned by the average paladin, I think. Anyway, I'm done with the Trackless Sea, not including Lantan. I was wondering if I should cut out V'laar or whatever, because it doesn't show it in coherence with the rest of the map, and it looks kind of ugly.

I'm going to do the rivers soon, but most of them are 5~6 pixels wide, if not more. I'm planning to draw them a bit thinner, but thought to check up your opinion on it as well. It just looks wrong with broad rivers on a NES map... I'm going to standardize their breadth, for simplicity.

Progress is good. I haven't started on the inland yet, so I don't know how that will be. Still, vacation is coming soon, leaving me with days to work on the map. Have you decided yet if you're going to use the entire map or just a section of it?

Azash, if you do that again I'm reporting you to the moderators. Please don't use more than ten spoilers.

@Silver: The slim rivers sound good,as does everything else you proposed. :) I think I'll be mostly using the areas mentioned in the Drizzt series and the Servant of the Shard. Keep up the good work. ;)

@Iggy: Sorry. :p

I think I'm going to remove V'laar or whatever it's called. It just looks plain ugly, and it's not shown in coherence with the rest of the map. Lantan is done, now moving to the inland east to Anauroch and south to Calimshan. Then I'll plot in the cities and roads.

Does that include the SMITE EVIL part? I bet it hurts...

Bah, I multiclassed as Blackguard anyway, so I'll just Smite Good.

On topic: Sounds good.. Never heard of V'laar

I'm finally done with the Sword Coast and all the islands west of it. This adds up to about a fourth of the map. I'm not sure if I want to do the whole of it, and it depends if you are willing to wait for it as well. What I think (objectively, mind you) is that less players will join it, because the majority seems to favor RL World. The size of the Sword Coast area is not too small as well. Even if ten players join, there will be plenty of place to claim and bicker over for all of them. I'm just presenting my point of view. And I tend to emphasize it, rather than others. :p

I had a look through the map threads without any luck. I'm looking for a map of Europe with rivers.

Rather than normal nations I need it to be divided into provinces, kind of a mix between Medieval Total War and Europa Universalis 2.

I'll work on a map myself if necessary, but maybe someone has one? :) Something like this maybe, but merging minor provinces into bigger ones: http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/fr(pro.html#map

Would someone remake this map for me with one of those new fangled maps that everyone is using now? This is for the NES I'm opening up. Thanks.

Come on is no one willing to remake this map for a good cause?

By a good cause, do you mean genocideNES? :p

No not really. Poland, Germany, USA and China are fascist thats all;)

But I do want to open this soon. I've gooten most of the stats. So the faster someon makes the new fangled map the faster I can open it.

Uh, I'm not up for it... yet. I might get some time to do it, but not until next week. If noone else takes the job, I'm afraid you will have to do it yourself.

Need help turning this map into a standart NESing blue and white map
http://www.taivaansusi.net/roolipelit/lindefirion/north-western middle-earth.jpg
I could do it myself, but every time I save it I get the picture "recolored". I suspect its something to do with the old memory. Basically I painted the sea blue.... then saved. Then decided to change to another type of blue and when I saved again the things I did change in the map look kind of blurry. Anyone could tell me what the problem is?
