Err, Calimport is just the capital of Calimshan, the southern peninsula dominated by a vast desert. Northwards from there you have the feudal monarchy of Tethyr, Amn - a mercantilistic plutocracy, and The Western Heartlands with various types of city-states, and the North which is largely a frontier territory. As you might see, this mix makes it difficult at best for NESing if the players are not familiar with the local demo/geographics and history.
FR has divided the map into regions roughly representing the borders of the nations in Faêrun to make it easier to distinguish between these, and where there are no nations to speak of as well (the Western Heartlands). I could just find a map showing the regions, but it's far easier to drop them out and only do the coasts and rivers instead. Which is just what I plan to do, since basing the NES on the actual history of Faêrun would be insane and impossible.
Still, if you want to I can draw in the cities and roads. Forests and mountains would also be nice, since most of Faêrun is dotted with both, and players won't know about them if they don't have a copy of the original map. All this is, if you're planning to run a NES on it at all?
