So this NES is dead too. It lasted much longer then I hoped it would. One NES dies, another will come to replace it. Not as soon as with the previous one, sadly - I will soon have to live through a mad week. Which does not mean that I will not work on the next NES during it. Expect the poll thread to appear soon (with the twist in it being that I don't care what the people choose, and will simply post it to see how many people support each option. I'm asking for your opinion, but that doesn't mean that I will follow it

).
And now, for the awards. Feel free to comment or even post your versions of it.

Player Awards:
Winner: Capulet - though he left in the end and sold large parts of his Empire, IMHO his Sinhala did the best in this NES, avoiding war whenever possible and becoming (and remaining!) the strongest superpower
Best Player: erez87 - for turning a besieged and impoverished Khazaria wrecked by Tarunist invasions and civil wars into a powerhouse.
Most Persistant Player: Sgt. Hellfish - for fighting on determinedly against Tarunism everywhere despite the hordes of polar bears the mod tossed at him.
Most Innovative Player: erez87 - the horse-driven prototanks take the cake.
Best Unsung Leader: BananaLee - it may not be much, but in his very first NES he created a nation out of "thin air" and turned it into a potential powerhouse. Too bad the Powers That Be didn't like it...
Most Agressive Player: Ice Eye - attacked several nations across the world, starting what effectively is the Tarunist Crusade.
Least Agressive Player: Jason the King - he left before he could start any wars.

Best Orders (IMHO): Sgt. Hellfish - sure, there are some problems, but the military part at least is much easier to do, largely thanks to his maps.
Out-Emperored Everybody Else's Emperors Taken Together: Erik Mesoy.
Nation Awards:
North Atlantean Superpower: Messippa - though the TSA has great potential, Messippa is quickly catching up and is larger.
South Atlatean Superpower: Incan Empire - its the only nation there anyway!

West European Superpower: Britannia - The result of the Tarunist Crusade left it in de facto control, how ever temporary, over Scandinavia, and even without it it is a superpower.
East European Superpower: Khazaria - especially after they invent the steam engine...
African Superpower: Alexandrine Empire - the Zulus may be catching up, but the "Southern Roman Empire" is still much stronger.
Middle Eastern Superpower: Judean Empire - though Khazaria is quickly becoming the Itzhakist dominant power, Judea still is a cultural center and a strength of its own ever since the Melkhama Ha-Kdosha several centuries ago.
East/South Asian Superpower: Sinhalese Empire - no explanation needed. It just is.
Biggest Rise (i.e. starting out with the least and ending with the most): China - not as spectacular as in NES2 I, but it still did get up from nonexistance to position of a serious regional power, at least.
Most Influential Nation: Sinhala.
Funniest Nation: Japan - "my emperor outemperors your emperor".
Most Surprising (in this case, "got beaten up way faster and easier then the mod thought"): Juang Empire.
Most Screwed-up Nation (that still exists): Baltia - but it won't exist for long!
Strongest (Overall) Army: Sinhala.
Strongest (Overall) Navy: Japan
Strongest (Overall) Air Force: Khazaria, because five Khazarians fell out of the window(s) during the end of the NES, and thus were in flight when the NES ended.
Largest Nation: Incan Empire (not sure)
Smallest Nation: Papal Eire
Highest Population: China
Lowest Population: New Berberia
Strongest Economy: Sinhalese Empire.
Most Technologically Advanced: Khazaria.

That's largely for you people to fill. My personal favorite is the Tarunist Crusade: epic conflict with tons of casualties, memorable commanders and fun atrocities.
