NES2 II: Age of Discovery

Basically, this entire NES, I had been using mercenaries, secret shipments, and propaganda to have other nations destroy each other.

I had a huge army, right. Why didn't I invade the Middle East? The question always was and should have been, 'When are you going to invade the Middle East?' There was never any doubt about my plans, at least in my eyes. I wanted to see the Izhakists, Baltians, and Alexandrians destroy each other. Given I had stayed, this is exactly what would have happened.

Conehead: Last turn, I was going to allow the Judeans to go ahead and destroy your empire.

Then I would invade the Izhakists while they were plundering Egypt and Baltia, then,*bang* Sinhalese World Dominance.

My truest and most loyal allies: Insane_Panda and Alex994. They were aware of all of my plans, all along. They stayed with me to the end and I stayed with them. Together, we spent hours planning on how we were going to domiante the world. The minor plans worked, the major ones we didn't have a chance to try. But thanks guys. :king:

Conehead, i knew that capulet was the black army when you told me that. You see, i was one of his loyal allies since he helped me crush most of the Juang Empire. I claim credit for the Sabah Black army *surprise surprise* Since i heard from reliable sources(which i doubt was really accurate) that Sabah would try to invade Southern China and Taiwan when i was preoccupied with Juankorum, so i had to keep them busy with the Black army. I got 2 ecos for 1 eco's spending :).

Hehe, yeah, I had to make up stuff to convince Alex to attack Sabah.

I told him Banana told me he was invading Taiwan and eastern China once Alex begins his assault on Jankorum. I told him that he needed to attack Sabah somehow, soon.

Alex decided to send mercenaries to Sabah and I provided him with the one economy level needed.

I paid for the mercenaries, Alex controlled them.

Wait, that was my idea to send mercenaries to Sabah and call it the black army!

You're right. But I was the mysterious financial backer!

And for the record, Cap was lying.
Sabah's plans was to play around with Javanese politics and take over what little they had in addition to expansion towards the east.

I concede that you were indeed the mysterious backer, but you got paid back when you "persuaded" me to buy Somalia!

Anyways das, what happened to Xenokratis? did he get shipwrecked?

EDIT: i know, as i said in my other post, i never did expect you to attack me...

But who sent the supplies to Juankorum???

cap when showing my final empire u missed large parts of my colonies

I nominate myself as the winner because I completely overcame two enemy nations, and spent the entire damn NES doing it!

I nominate me, for my sheer destructive power. Nevermind who I destroyed.

So this NES is dead too. It lasted much longer then I hoped it would. One NES dies, another will come to replace it. Not as soon as with the previous one, sadly - I will soon have to live through a mad week. Which does not mean that I will not work on the next NES during it. Expect the poll thread to appear soon (with the twist in it being that I don't care what the people choose, and will simply post it to see how many people support each option. I'm asking for your opinion, but that doesn't mean that I will follow it ;) ).

And now, for the awards. Feel free to comment or even post your versions of it.

DISCLAIMER: THE RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR USED IN APPROPORTIONING THOSE AWARDS IS DAS COPYRIGHT, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO USE IT WITHOUT TELEPATHIC CONSENT OF THE AUTHOR

Player Awards:

Winner: Capulet - though he left in the end and sold large parts of his Empire, IMHO his Sinhala did the best in this NES, avoiding war whenever possible and becoming (and remaining!) the strongest superpower
Best Player: erez87 - for turning a besieged and impoverished Khazaria wrecked by Tarunist invasions and civil wars into a powerhouse.
Most Persistant Player: Sgt. Hellfish - for fighting on determinedly against Tarunism everywhere despite the hordes of polar bears the mod tossed at him.
Most Innovative Player: erez87 - the horse-driven prototanks take the cake.
Best Unsung Leader: BananaLee - it may not be much, but in his very first NES he created a nation out of "thin air" and turned it into a potential powerhouse. Too bad the Powers That Be didn't like it...
Most Agressive Player: Ice Eye - attacked several nations across the world, starting what effectively is the Tarunist Crusade.
Least Agressive Player: Jason the King - he left before he could start any wars. ;)
Best Orders (IMHO): Sgt. Hellfish - sure, there are some problems, but the military part at least is much easier to do, largely thanks to his maps.
Out-Emperored Everybody Else's Emperors Taken Together: Erik Mesoy.

Nation Awards:

North Atlantean Superpower: Messippa - though the TSA has great potential, Messippa is quickly catching up and is larger.
South Atlatean Superpower: Incan Empire - its the only nation there anyway! ;)
West European Superpower: Britannia - The result of the Tarunist Crusade left it in de facto control, how ever temporary, over Scandinavia, and even without it it is a superpower.
East European Superpower: Khazaria - especially after they invent the steam engine...
African Superpower: Alexandrine Empire - the Zulus may be catching up, but the "Southern Roman Empire" is still much stronger.
Middle Eastern Superpower: Judean Empire - though Khazaria is quickly becoming the Itzhakist dominant power, Judea still is a cultural center and a strength of its own ever since the Melkhama Ha-Kdosha several centuries ago.
East/South Asian Superpower: Sinhalese Empire - no explanation needed. It just is.
Biggest Rise (i.e. starting out with the least and ending with the most): China - not as spectacular as in NES2 I, but it still did get up from nonexistance to position of a serious regional power, at least.
Most Influential Nation: Sinhala.
Funniest Nation: Japan - "my emperor outemperors your emperor".
Most Surprising (in this case, "got beaten up way faster and easier then the mod thought"): Juang Empire.
Most Screwed-up Nation (that still exists): Baltia - but it won't exist for long!
Strongest (Overall) Army: Sinhala.
Strongest (Overall) Navy: Japan
Strongest (Overall) Air Force: Khazaria, because five Khazarians fell out of the window(s) during the end of the NES, and thus were in flight when the NES ended.
Largest Nation: Incan Empire (not sure)
Smallest Nation: Papal Eire
Highest Population: China
Lowest Population: New Berberia
Strongest Economy: Sinhalese Empire.
Most Technologically Advanced: Khazaria.

Aaaarghh! Polar bears are nothing compared to my three-way civil war! (Which I will later reminiscesce on.)

Should I be ashamed of this?

What, no superpower award? Dangnabit!

Ahem. Obviously, you never had to face a horde of polar bears raiding your supply lines.

They thought Voitto Palmen was the greatest Tarunist leader... they were wrong!
Should I be ashamed of this?

Hey - you get the same award as Amon Savag once got! You should be proud! ;)
Wahoo. Colonization time.

Oh, yes. Japanese colonial empire in California, the way I see it, looks pretty big...
What, no superpower award? Dangnabit!

I considered adding an Eastern Asian award separately for China or Japan.

IT was really nice to read this thing, it had humour and class. Don't feel like I fitted in but I'm still kinda green. _=)
Duels would be fun, but I guess there's half a dozen good reason the proposition was ignored.

All in all, this NES had a great flair, and what was with the polar bears raiding his supply lines? :mischief:

(aye, tha would've been interesting and might've provided us some hints on how the war would've ended)
