OOC: civil war may not be thought of while the people are patriotic, but when a few come to challange power, everyone gets confused, people who want power for themselves side with the new upstart leaders, etc, etc...

To the People of Kyushu:

We hear that the emperor dare sends his foolish armies our way! To try and break our home. Let us make it so that he cannot even cross from the seas into Kyushu! Quick, we must mobolize! I ask all who support the cause of revolution to join our ranks! Let us defeat these old and corrupt warlords, who give us orders and edicts, and spend spend spend, but have no authority to impose these taxes and burdens. Let us smash these men and restore glory to the Divine monarchy, the Empire of the Rising Sun! There Generals are cruel and uncaring and do not follow the rules of war! These men are not worthy to be Samurai.

I DECEIDE: That Erik is the insane twin-brother of the insane Josef. When the old emporer died, he forgot to say who of his sons should become the new emporer. Now they ahve both declared themselves emporer and are trying to beat each other to be the one and only true emporer! Panda is some kind of rebell leader who sees the whole conflict as a good opportunity to "free" the people of Japan from their insane rulers.

OOC: Japan often had things like that hapenning in their history, so I think tossi spoke well. It'll be great if all 3 of you decide on regions of power. I think Panda should start in the North (Hokkaido) and a Northern tip of the main island + some small dots in other parts. Either Erik or Joseph could be North or South of whats left and all parties should have supporters in Sakhalin.
In any way I hope this gets sorted out soon. I said.

Btw, I'm having second thoughts about the expedition thing in the stats. I feel its not really needed, while it is fairly confusing. So, maybe we should keep expeditions, but out of stats?

Josef can be the Baby Stupid Upstart Imperial faction, I'll be the True Old Wise Imperial faction. That way we can get the faction names out of the way. I_P can be the Not Quite So Imperial faction.

ColonyGuard - basically battalions of soldiers commisioned to colonies(where it is much´warmer than in Svenia), armed with muskets, light armour(to be able to travel long), swords and trained to be able to follow along expeditions far inland. Carry all their gear with them. Basically modern equipped battalions able to fight. a long way from home.

As for expeditions, problem is, they took the most time out of my previous update (despite the fact that I had only a few orders), and, well, I don't see much use in them at all as most of them reach their destination within one turn.

I take it Josef agrees with Erik's proposed nomenclature...
