THe USA has 297 million people. However, the Commonwealth of Nations has 1.7 billion people (30% of the world population) and in all those nations, the Queen's English is an official language.

And also English taught in China is the Queen's English, not American English :p

Nope. Was gonna, but someone betrayed me already. Doesn't take twenty seconds for you people to tell everyone in the world where a person plans to rebel, you know.

But if we separate English into 4 major dialects, American, Australian, British, and Canadian, American comes out on top.

Nk...rebel somewhere else, please. :)

If you want to break it into dialects, you can further divide AMerican spoken english into tons of different things. Bronx dialect, Midwest dialect, Southern dialect, Sanfran dialect.. Just to name a few.. ;)

Oh, but Britain has even more. Cockney, Highlands, Welsh, East Anglican, Midlands, Manx, Mid-Ulster English, Estuary, Brummie...to name a few.

We're talking major dialects.

Well, written English is still standard Queen's English. Plus, more people use the Oxford or Cambridge dictionary rather than the Webster's.

*lights up a smoke*
