To The International Community:
Germany, in co-operation with Portugal, has begun funding of 'The Institute for the Advancement of Humanity'. The porpuse of this fundation and massive research scientific program is to rid humanity of nothing less than Small Pox, a common deadly disease that kills houndreds of thousands of people each year. It is possible to develop a cure, but we need the cooperation of the international community and its scientific input.
This is an open reserach program, and we ask the world to send its leading scientists and doctors to our complex in Vienna to spend one or two seasons at least on the developent of a cure or something that can prevent this disease.
Germany will do the funding, but hopes that nations send at least a token donations for our cause.
Let us get rid of this disease forever, and work not for war, but for peace.

We would be very interested in participating in such research provided it will benefit the entire world. We will also provide buildings in Copenhagen for such research. We believe it would be more beneficial to have several teams of scientists working on it in seperate places and then meet perhaps 3 times a year to discuss their progress and inspire each other. This way we won't have one group focusing on just one or two ideas, but several groups focusing on several different ideas and still sharing their progress.
We could set it up in Lisbon, Vienna and Copenhagen.

Oh, and das. My nation is listed as a kingdom though it really is a republic. What is the general sentiment toward the name in my nation? Would it prove very unpopular in the population if I make a name change to the Republic of Denmark-Norway?

Lady Popularity is even less reliable than Fortune, I daresay.

OOC: Well, the reason I asked was, I put in 4 EP, and got 4 levels worth of training, and I was running on the assumption they were linked, not 1:1. Panda confirmed for me that they are 1:1 earlier.
What about the disappearing troops? I can see 3 normal Divisions disappearing due to tougher training, but not 5 UU Divisions... since they're elite they're supposed to relish such a thing!

OOC: I know it is. But at this point the only one who can immediately stop my rebellion is the Mughal Empire. As Nan China, the French, Japanese and Portuguese are busy drawing up future China and kicking Xian Han China out, they can't really attack me right away. (Apart from the Mughal Empire, naturally) Besides, I plan on trying to negotiate with the Nan Chinese. Even though I'm not optimistic about this rebellion, it will spice things up a bit more.
