The past year, though we have had our successes, has been less than perfect. France, though she remains at the forefront of civilization, has suffered, and I, as the sovereign leader of our Kingdom, accept the blame and responsibility for France's failures, both in the areas of social reform, and in the areas of foriegn affairs. However, though I accept such blame, I do not condone it or believe that it is correct.
Firstly, the social reforms which I have so eagerly, perhaps too eagerly, pushed through were underfunded, yes, but the question of whether or not they were needed is irrelevant. France, if it is to remain in its position of power, must bequeath the benefits of its power throughout the Kingdom, and cannot simply leave it for the priveledged few. If we choose to stay upon the course which turns a blind eye to those in need than we shall find ourselves, in the future, in dire straits. An example of such a crisis could be seen clearly in the former Kingdom of Spain. I, as the King of France, shall not allow this nation to spiral down the road of revolution, and therefore urge that you support me in my mission to reform our system, and to grant prosperity not just to the priveledged, but to all of our citizens.
Secondly, I wish to discuss the issue of foriegn relations, and the level of control which we place upon our allies, a level which many of you feel is too weak. France, if it is to maintain a strong, and faithful system of allies, must compromise. We, though we certaintly have the power, cannot force others to do soley as we wish. Such an attitude will only come back to haunt us when our hour of need comes. To believe that we should be able to excercise complete control over our allies is not simply selfish, but it is foolish. We must, as the leader of the civilized nations of the world, speak softly and firmly, yet at the same time carry a big stick. Our allies know we are powerful, yet we do not need to crush them under such power.
Finally, I shall close this statement to our Kingdom with a word of advice to all: Though we are powerful, and though we have an uncomparable military record, we cannot abuse such power, and nor can we become overly confident of ourselves. We must be reminded constantly of our limits, and therefore, being reminded of them, we must strive to overcome them. The road of complacency shall lead to distruction. Support me, your King and servant, and France shall continue to prosper.
- Julien-François I, King of France and the Confederation of the Rhine

With the fall of the old Kingdom and the arising of the new maybe better relationships can be attained.
First, Freedom Religion in both countries.
Sennar become a Republic, with their own written up constitution. Rajab I will be the first President as I see that you wish him to lead.
Current Borders.
3 year Nap with open trade and free passage of Abyssanians down the Nile as well as acess to Alexandria. This NAP will apply to both the Ottomans and Sennar.
For now I hope this will do. Perhaps in the future we can further our efforts for a better relation.
