NES2 VI - Last Semblance of Order.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but...

How many divisions do you get per economy point (for the IRC if it depends)?

I know and this is not the point. I just dislike this in principle. I player is bound to his nation when he says "I CLAIM ****" and this bound is only cut when he says "omg school is kicking in, sorry no time".

Jesus. It's not school, it's moving. Panda doesn't have internet connection for a freaking week. It's something he couldn't avoid, and he planned ahead for it.

OOC: Just to reaffirm, as we discussed on AIM. IC:

TO: Portugal
FROM: France

In light of the Portuguese government's willingness to reason, we are discussing the possibility of a proposal for peace with our allies and, should we come to an agreement, should have it prepared shortly.

das, I will take:

Kingdom of Finland
Capital: Turnu
Ruler: King Fredrik Palmen
Government: Parliamentary Monarchy
Centralization: Federation
Tech. Level: Early Industrial Age
Army (Training): 16 divisions (Good), 5 Jaeger corps
Navy (Training): None yet
Economy: Normal (+1)
Size (points required): Small (1)
Leadership (Military/Civilian): Competent/Barely Tolerable
Infrastructure: Badly Tolerable
Education: Well Educated
Living Standards: Normal
Culture: Patriotic
Confidence: Barely Tolerating
Projects: The City Where East and West Meet (+Viipuri economic center, +1 Civilian Leadership) (Done!), Watchguard of the East (CLASSIFIED) (5/19)
Nation Background: The rise of Swedish nationalism in the early 18th century at the same time provoked and inspired the rise of the Finnish one, as the general Finnish cultural awakening prepared the ground for a cry for the creation of a Finnish nation-state. And the very first serious rebellion with such a goal has immediately turned out to be a great success, the Swedish garrisons being thrown out of the country and the peace treaty confirming the creation of a new kingdom. Thus far, despite ties with Russia, Finland is seen in the greater world to be a French puppet state and one of France's forward positions for the ensuing battle with Russia. Not that its necessarily false... or bad for that matter.

Dissolve my secret society. But don't tell anyone what it was. :p

ROFL at Portuguese cow and related jokes, especially tossi's last picture.

We do not wish to have you involved in this war any more.

That implies that you wished to have them involved in this war until now. :p

And thanks for the complaints. IMHO this NES is going quite well, hopefully it will continue to do so for long.

To: Abyssinia
From: High King Rajab I of Sennar

Speaking of which, did the widely-publicized Tibetan rebellion fail to send orders last turn?

As I mentioned, I didn't bother with it. And now that the Mughals have taken over Nepal and Bhutan, I haven't got the intrest for it. I might however reconsider.

General Badome stood now in Gonder. The Emperor now lay peacefully in the church as the choir sang. The Gerneral bowed his head in silent prayer. He still remembered when he was called in to find the Emperor. He found him dead in a storage house. Bodoame had shot and killed all but one man in that building. He was now being interrogatted.

Damn! Damn them for what they have! They have killed Demeke. They have killed Brehane. The man who had brought Abyssania on its path. Now the question of succesion.

The son should of course succeed. But would he accept. He was only 20 now. The same age as Bodame. The two had infact grown up together. The Gerneral was the other potential successor. A man of pure genious. Due to the recent defeats on the east side, the General was now planning his counter attack.

The General walked up to Demeke's son, Bathura Kanik.

"What is it you will do?"

"I have to follow in my father's footsteps. I will be the Emperor. But I want you beside me. I want you to be my head General. I want you, once this war is over to be my Chancellor."

"Sir, I thank you"

"We are still friends. Now I am just Emperor. I guess it is time I adress the people."

"Do you wish for me to accompany you, sir. Would you like me to present."

"No. I must be strong."

Bathura walked out onto the balcony. He stood tall and proud. The crowd had their heads bent down. He called out and they rose.

"Today we remember a man. Our father. Demeke Brehane. A man of wisdom and forsight. He was always righteous in Christianity and the arts. He was always kind and curteous. He reinvigorated the armed forces of Abyssania.

He brought back the arts for Abyssania and brought great conquests. We will never forget him. He will always be the leader in Abyssania's industrialization. He has shown us the path.

Now we must follow it. We must stand tall. We have experianced a harsh turnback in the war and must counteract that. We must not waver and we must not shutter. We must not give into fear. And we must not give into darkness. To give up is to admit your pediness. It means to give up hope. We will always have hope. We will always be strong. We have already proven our connection.

We have been bound together for centuries. We are not about to brake apart. For are we not strong. We must not let the lingering though of death turn us away. We must not let fear of the unknown keep us in hiding. For one day we will all have to face it. To face the black sea. The engulfing flames.

To die for ones cause. To die for something worth fighting for. We must not give in. We are all human. We all have mind set. If we do not fight. If we are not prepared to die for our country. Then what is the point of living. Demeke died for something he believed in. He is a casualty of this war like all others. Will we let his death be in vein. Will we let the death of all the men who lay on that field. On the field of war!

Will we let their deaths go untold. History has always been written by the victors. History is what we all remember.

The Romans, the Egyptians, the Vikings, the Indians, the Mongols. They have endured. They live on threw history. But they are gone.

Do not let us become another chapter in the long endless time of our universe. Do not let Africa be forgotten. The stories and the traditions. We embody those rights. The turks, these Sennarese puppets, they are not African. They are blind. They are blind to our true calling. What Africa's potential is.

We must fight on. We must unite. We cannot be divided. A house divided cannot stand. We must come together and stand together or all fall one...by one.

We live in a time of great changes. Massive rocks are in motion. The pieces have been set. Now the movement begins. Will we be sucked into the blackness or will we stand and resist downfall.

Stand with me. Will we let Sennar stand against us. Will we stand for these atrosities. Or will you fight. Will you hold your head high. Will you say I am African. I am Abyssanian. I live in Africa and I am proud. I am proud to be an African. I am proud to stand by my sword and fight and die for my country die for Africa. For its future. I will tell you now. I am ready to die for Abyssania. I am ready to lead my country.

Fight with me. And I will make us great.

To: Kornu-Bornu
From: Abyssania

In light of the new Emperor we would like to offer our hand. We ask for an alliance amongst all African nations. Of course, this does not apply to the current conflict unless you wish to get involved yourself.

To: Segu
From: Abyssania

We offer the same alliance, same thing with you not having to get involved in the current war unless you want to.
