Georgia holds nothing of interest for me except Stalin, and while I am absolutely fascinated by dictators (more so ones of the tinpot variety but still) Stalin would be a better leader for Russia and I don't even want to see him back since he's DEFINITELY had more turns than he deserves. And yes, I know Tamar but she just doesn't inspire anything in me.

Meso-America really needs some more diversity than dragging out the same two sides every game and saying "That's yer lot!"

Their artwork is unique compared to anything else on the planet. The entire purpose of adding additional civs is, in my view, to bring variety to the game, and between their artistic tradition, the unique environment they thrived in and the void that is the game's current North American representation (to say nothing of language, religion or any other form of cultural tradition), these civs would bring more variety than any other option.

Protect this country in the Heart of Europe with my upvotes and long arguments about how interesting and unique this Civ is, and hope that people won't condemn it just because it's European. It's one of the most suitable choices for a Civ here, and seeing some successful Bohemian king would be nice.

I don't see how a side is obscure when everyone seems to know exactly who and what I'm talking about. Apart from their artstyle the religions of all major players in the area is Olmec inspired (most archeologists agree that they are the ones who started the whole "public ritual sacrifice to the rain/crop gods" thing that the Maya and Aztecs were so keen on. Whether or not that was a net positive is obviously questionable but the fact remains that it was a massively influentail part of many meso-American cultures and it's almost universally agreed that Olmec started it or at the VERY least were the ones that popularized it), their trade routes stretched for dozens upon dozens of miles even without pack animals in uneven terrain in an era when a consistent trade route of ten miles might as well have been a voyage to Mars, and even in the sources that argue they weren't the mother culture (which is debatable but for the sake of argument) they still concede that the Olmec WERE the first civilization in the area and the other cultures that rose up around the same time took far longer to build up and develop to the same level that the Olmec did. They are an amazing culture, we have more than enough to make a civ with, and they deserve better than what they're being given. AND if we completely and totally ignore the Olmec in favor of the other options here they too deserve more than constantly being snubbed in favor of "Meso-America has exactly two civilizations and no one else besides barbarians ever lived there". If you don't want to vote for the Olmec the other choices still don't warrant execution this early.

As for Ashanti I hold no malice for them, I just REALLY prefer Nigeria.
