I think he's referring to Denmark's UA and being able to disembark siege units, set up and fire all in the same turn. Quill18 has a Denmark CBP Let's Play running now and, with a little Great Lighthouse help, pulls off getting a 3/2 movement catapult at one point due to the UA keeping the bonus movement after disembarking.

Now, why he's posting that in this thread... *shrug*.

Yeah, I think that is it. Ok, I am catching up. So many changes.... I am fine with
it if it's just Denmark.

That's from vanilla, and it's pretty much how you are supposed to use the Danish UA.

Yeah, thanks. I am a Civ V CBP newbie. That video confused me.

I think it would be pleasant to see the TechHelpInclude.lua file moved over to the CP. It provides much utility and I don't see any downside to it.

You think so? Not too intrusive/odd? I like it, but I don't want to force it on CP users if they don't like it (I guess they can, technically, delete it themselves...).

Nope, I think it looks great - very structured, so doesn't appear to clutter the tech, and praises for doing away with the ridiculous help texts. I would just ask that you consider adding Processes as amongst the things it lists.

If you decide not to, may I incorporate it into my Rise to Power mod? I have no qualms about forcing it upon RtP's users - I am a merciless emperor, you see :p

I'll add it, then. I'll also add processes. :)

As always, it's yours to steal/borrow/maim.

Again, this is not anything that have actually changed in CBP, Denmark have always been able to disembark with more than their maximum movement. It is even more obvious later into the game when you start getting more embarked movement increases. I'm kinda surprised the guy in the video reacted the way he did, did he never play/see Denmark before in vanilla?

Anyways, the Ability to disembark your siege weapons, set them up and shoot on the same turn is totally intended. Same with the ability to disembark melee units and pillage 3 tiles.

I have never played Denmark in vanilla (probably like the guy from the video) because I usually play with the same favourite civs of mine. So I was easily confused it might be a CBP change or something like that. For instance, I hate how they made Zulu and a few other civs in terms of their looks and animations. Some of them are a lot more beautiful from others. I do not know, maybe different artists are responsible for them. Though, Denmark looks pretty good, so as soon as my laptop is fixed, I am bound to play it.

Oh that's too funny! Good job!

Does this mean that JFD will eventually release... JFD? :rotfl:

Too bad they're so OP though... I'd love to defeat a modder with one of their own civs! The irony...

Am I the only one to not like the new drill promotion ? The new shock is better against barbarian and the +10% strength, without any condition, makes it a good all around promotion.

I feel like drill is never the good choice on infantry. Horseman has got the movement to value the flanking bonus but infantry is too slow. Moreover it doesn't increase your defensive/staying power because flanking doesn't work against ranged attack , doesn't work against aircraft and AI will not attack the soldier with drill 2 in the middle of your army.

I think so too, but I think it may because of the lack of fortified AI units.

I use Drill only on infantry typed units I produce from my city with Alhambra, so I can get special promotions without being at war (March on most because it's awesome, and amphibious when preparing to attack a coastal city).

I think you don't play on the last beta build because I think it got worse.

New Shock : +10 strength + 15% against fortify unit
New Drill : +25% to flanking bonus +20% strength against city.

Ah and now you can get march from Drill AND Shock 3 but you have to get Drill 3 to have blitz.

Something's wrong with the Japan UA for fishing ships: I can't build them with Ironclads/Corvettes in a recently captured city-state (Whales and Fish, neither upgraded). A work boat had no trouble creating a fishing boat.

I'm not sure if it's something related to the city-state or some technology in the way; I had upgraded other sea resources with Corvettes before without problems.

I'll report if the problem persists after I found a new city or conquer one from some civ. Had no problem with either so far in the game.

Additional mods: R.E.D. Modpack (v. 27) and CIV-Linked Great Generals (v. 8), the last one not working properly (generals with names as "TXT_KEY_GREAT_PERSON_HIDEKI_TOJO").

Update: managed with a different Corvette; might be something specific about the Ironclad.

Which version of the beta?

Did anyone actually get the free atomic bomb from being the first one to complete the manhattan project? I got the research lab but I never actually got the bomb.

For checking-purposes I did not have any connected Uranium resource and I did not have the Nuclear fission tech researched.
