New Danish Royal Family painting

I happened to see this in a yahoo article, but would not want the article itself in the OP cause i find the writing in it to be utterly idiotic...

What do you think of this Danish royal portrait?

Personally i like some parts of it, mostly the ones where the figures do not look like photographs (for example the two twins playing with the red building blocks).
Other parts are not that much to my liking because the level of photorealism makes them look like a poster from some tv show in my view.

The central figure (the son of the heir) is rather strange in this setting, although i think that by itself it would have been a lot better.

I also like the image of the Queen, and to a degree that of the girl to her left.

That is one of the creepiest portraits I've ever seen. It looks like the beginning of a Doctor Who story.

It is horrible. The painter took several photographs all with its own light and perspective and pasted it in this kind of collage. Also the huge kid in the middle is about to light up his eyes and make everyone to kill each other.

Although seriously, it's mostly a titular thing. People don't become kings for marrying queens here.
