A bit sad that this thread is more entertaining than the game :)

Civ: The Reality Show. Follow a group of hardcore civfanatics as they wait for an announcement - any announcement! - about the future direction of their beloved pastime. Listen in as their hopes, dreams, fears and frustrations are laid bare. Will they support each other? Will they turn on each other? Will they devolve into another endless argument about 1UPT?

New episodes available daily, only on Internet. Some content edited for entertainment purposes.

Been reading about the leaked/unconfirmed leaders and civs and now I wish they are true (apart from the Maori, Burma and Eleanor which do not interest me that much..).

Especially Arpad's Hungary, Simon Bolivar, Roxelana.. and the Inca of course.

I would have complained. Napoleon is boring. :p
I love Napoleon, but I think it would be cool if they DID include him and change him up to represent his more political achievements, such as a bonus revolving around the Napoleonic code, as opposed to just a conqueror. But it's nice seeing fresh faces, and I could easily take Louis XIV in his place.

Oh, I'm certainly not. I know a lot of Protestants who hate Catholics and I know a lot of Catholics who hate Protestants. It makes me sad: I love my Catholic brothers and sisters in Christ. :( I'm just saying that 500 years later it's time to forgive the wrongs we did to each other and move on as the Body and Bride of Christ.

Pillars of the Earth has had a mile-long wait list at my local library for like two years.

I've already proposed the way to make Atahualpa interesting: show him brandishing his brother's gilt skull. :mischief:

The top part of the post makes me so happy - I got a lot of upset feelings initially about me being Catholic from my Evangelical in-laws :-( it makes me sad

Something to remember this week:

Last year's teaser for R&F didn't happen at the usual 10am EST. It was at 12pm EST. So don't be disheartened if you don't see it at the usual hour on Wednesday.

The Civ Fandom Civilization

Civ Ability (Test of Time):
After discovering Recorded History, your cities gain +0.0125 to all yields for every point of era score earned by every civilization you have met (including yourself) over the course of the entire game.

Unique Unit (History Nerd): Melee unit unlocked with Natural History. +10 combat strength and +1 movement when adjacent to an Archaeologist. +5 combat strength in the territory of a city with an established Educator governor. Starts with a free promotion.

Unique Infrastructure (Basement Dwelling): Unique district that replaces the neighborhood. After discovering Computers, generates twice as much gold as the amount of housing it provides, +1 amenity from entertainment, and -1 production.

marketing and 2kqa_b updated about 7 and 8 minutes ago.

The last time marketing updated, it coincided with a 2kqa build update. Is marketing using the latest/greatest or is it more a case of "marketing is low priority, so they only get around to it when they have other builds to update too"?

On the flip side, I'd be afraid we might just get being 'Civ Ancient Era' with a bunch of monsters you can 'summon' (i.e. faith buy) and/or fight and Gods that are just boosts (you choose Athena : +2 science!), when ideally I'd like a bit of the tone of 'King of Dragon Pass' or such.
I don't think Firaxis has the chops to make something as awesome as King of Dragon Pass, even if they got the license for Glorantha.

You're saying game developers are supposed to offend people? :p
History and art are both offensive. :p

I mean just bring even a little bit of that vibe to the 'real world' mythology.

I noticed that, too. They aren't the same build IDs, so I don't think they're making the marketing build the same as the latest test build. My guess is that the guy who does the updates doesn't think that marketing needs to be updated asap, so he usually does it when he has another update as well. (I.e., it's a personal priorities not company policy. But I'm probably just making an unfair analogy to similar situations unrelated to Firaxis of which I have personal knowledge....)

Link to the surprise Stream. Since the thumbnail is the Switch cover, I don't expect too much of it... : /

Twitch thumbnail had (stream is gone?) an Xcom/Civ VI image though. Edit: Stream is back up on Twitch. Showing same clouds as on YT.
