New Gameplays (ONE THREAD)

Maybe Roman legions return with the roadmaking ability so they wouldn't need to wait for middle ages to get roadmaking.

I was thinking maybe the Legion will start with a Military Engineer already linked to them.

Did I understand correctly that it says about one of the special America units that they are only playable "if TR is America's leader"? The German magazine Gamester said so in their video and think it is due to the integration of several leaders per civ. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Quils videos were a delight to watch. So informative! BAstartgaming for example had no idea what he was talking about, got so many things wrong (just for examplee, he kept saying how good America is on a pangea map cos of their bonus to home continent...)
Any other commentated full (100+ turns) gameplays? I can mostly find shorter snippets but want a "full" game to watch :)

Mabozir's video was also great to watch, the rest of the guys dont seem to know what they were doing

I so wanted to watch them all to see what i could learn about the game, and it was not just the commentary, that can be muted, they were making so many wrong moves i couldnt take it :crazyeye:

Writing Bulls LPs are good. They are in German tough... and it is split into episodes - which he didn't release all at once. But very informative (and he seems to know what he's doing).

Correct, there is an image where the player is picking their civ and the wordingame in the abilities box was what you said. It indicates that they left the option for multiple leaders . This could be for mods or dlc, that we don't know yet.

Are there any China prerelease gameplay videos out there? I would like to know how exactly the Great Wall works in regarding the direct defence bonus and the adjacency bonus for those walls.

Here is an interesting video by GamerZakh - 12 Gameplay Details You Might Not Know About!

I like this Youtuber, so I thought I will give him a bit of support and put a link here.

Has any Youtuber played as Egypt or the Aztecs?

IGN plays as Aztecs. This is a video series run by Firaxis Senior Gameplay Designer Anton Strenger. Currently, there are two videos. Really nice quality, so I recommend it.

Not sure about Egypt, though.

You would think that 150 turns would get them into more later game but the videos have people fighting with chariots and warriors. :D

I think I have seen zero swordsmen and zero naval units built by the players.

Also strategic resources are apparently more rare, which is a good thing. Plus the new one: nieter or whatever it was called.

edit:
and this IGN video that darko82 mentions is very good, good info about zone of control for example and it's cool to see the night/day mechanic in action:

One of the youtubers did say that the devs are still balancing strategic resources and that they will probably be a bit more common than in the videos we've seen.

For those like me that wish for a selection because they can't watch them all or don't want to :
Note that I preffer faster players without too much useless commentaries :

-Finished Marbozir current upload list. Pretty good, recommended. Lacked game sounds though.
-BAstartGaming america is probably the one I preffer so far. Game sounds, decent player so far.
-I skipped the Firaxis Livestream, got bored after 15minutes at how slow it was.

Quill has produced a ship in Part 6 in Bristol but hasn't used it. He doesn't have swordsmen because has no iron. Marbozir mentioned in one of his later episodes that strategic resources are scarce because they were still being worked on at the time of this build. He didn't say his source for that comment.
