Question: Do Independent cities ever have trade routes with regular civs? How about barbarian-controlled cities *guess not because there is always war but I am still asking.
I was thinking about the existence of Cahokia as a city-state, not a civ, and a potential Mayan or even Aztec goal to establish a trade connection before Cahokia collapses after 1350 or 1400 at the very latest. This goal could also be more difficult if they are many natives or barbs placed along the way in the lower Mississippi.
