@arthurF Further to what tu_79 and others said, it may also be a botched install or a mod conflict.

Maybe if you post a save or a few screenshots of your empire and the happiness breakdown, some people can help you more. I play on emperor level, but I am not experiencing big problems with unhappiness unless I go overboard with warring.

Thanks, Owlbebach. But why keep both of them around for several turns? (I observed them staying there for several turns)

I suppose botched is possible, but not using mods other than this mod. I will look at documenting the situation. To you, what is "overboard with warring" ? And why does war drop happiness other than the one associated with 'war weariness' ? Does it?

Your recently conquered cities are unhappy too. Your trading was probably stopped by your warmongering, and you may lack some luxuries. You were focusing on units more than buildings, so your economy is probably weak and that causes unhappiness too. Add war weariness to the mix.

Usually warmongers had a tough time dealing with happiness. Now, they have war weariness to prevent non-stop wars. This kind of artificially delays domination victory so they get even with the others at the estimated victory turn.

The change to artistry looks like a huge buff to Arabia.

+25% on 3 different GPs as an opener, and historic events from archaeological sites. Combined with the hidden antiquity sites, Arabia's going to go hog-wild at Archaeology. Can anyone confirm?
