Hey all,

New version inbound. Small changes here. Largely a fix for the CTDs on Windows 7 machines. Thank you for your patience.

Fixes and Improvements
  • Fix for CTD in Windows 7 environment
  • Further work on Military AI logic re: CSs/Barbs
  • Further work on AI production logic for units/buildings (esp. workers/workboats)
  • Worked on AI diplomacy regarding Diplomatic Policies and CS interactions
  • Updated to VMC v88
  • Decreased Settler wait time before heading out alone (also increased likelihood that AI will wait until there's an escort to build a settler)
Balance: (CBO)
  • Reduced Delta on Great Prophets to 400 (was 600)

Online as of 8:20pm EST. Not savegame compatible, however if you are currently on a game on the previous latest version I would not worry about updating to this version until you have finished your game. This is mainly a fix for Windows 7 users.

Hi, where can I find a global list of each version changelog?
I'm currently on march version (still on the same game ~~ ), and I wonder what's the change inbetween, thanks :)

Probably searching the forum for every version in between and reading the changelog, sorry I don't think there's a better way.
 
This might just be setting I can't find in the options, but I've not been able to see cities' names or target them. I can see city names when I start a regular game without mods. I've attached a screenshot of the problem.

Gazebo I dont know if it is intentional or not, but I am able to build Jelling Stones, Denmark unique building (which replaces the lighthouse), in cities that are not costal. I dont know about the other versions of the mod, i never played with denmark before.

That is intentional. See the building's info.

Mod conflict.

Can be a botched install as well, remember that happening a lot back when people had to do the manual install thing. Funny thing is that the actual city-names aren't missing they are all usually located out in the ocean.

True, though the fact that the rest of his interface looks fine makes me think that a specific mod is overwriting citybannermanager.lua

Patrol moves. Specifically a bad iterator was being passed through. Windows 10 is able to gracefully recover, thus it did not show as a CTD for ilteroi or I (or any W10 user). Windows 7 lacks the ability to recover in that specific situation.

.........I'm just going to go to bed and maybe in the morning the final, stable version of this update will be out so I don't finish updating and installing one version only to see a new one as soon as I'm done.

Might not be related to patrol moves, but I was getting CTD's with Windows 10 on the version released on the 25th. Haven't tried the new one yet.
 
I ran a quick 40-turner before going to pick up the junior from his elementary "graduation" party (strange time, this new millennium :D ), and can confirm that the early turns crasher is gone.

Hey G, remember that Win7 is to Win10 what Android is to iOS... 75% of the market and growing. :D
 
I think this entire ordeal have showed us just how much worse Win7 is compared to Win10.

I know bugs are supposed to be reported on Github, but first I want to ask if someone else knows about this issue or how to fix it.

Almost every game I play, the game "freezes" during the other players turn at some point in the game. Usually around turn 100-200. I can still move the cursor, and the "globe-cursor-thing" is still spinning, but there's nothing else I can do.

Edit. It did not only happen in this version.

I have this problem all the time. At a very small chance, It freezes when you do something, i.e. moving camera, clicking, etc.

I prevented this by disabling core threading.
