Lets face it, it gets boring only having one word for everything, so let us change that unfortunate fact with our semi-defective hive mind.

I'll start.

The sun is now "the daystar" shamelessly stolen from TV Tropes

Your turn!

The moon is now the "nightstar." Shouldn't this be moved to Forum Games?

Its not really a game though, at least not the way I see it. I think there can be a resembelance of a serious discussion to be had on coining new words for old things.

Also, the moon isn't a star, so how could it be the nightstar?

I was playing off of your word...

How about the "nightlight"?

But it doesn't work during the new moon phase.

Honestly, doesn't just about everything have more than one word to refer to it? If you look at the nearest dictionary or thesaurus, you'll see what I mean.

Is there a synonym for "Thesaurus"? ;)

A lexicon is a dictionary in English.

Also, it's a word that I played in Scrabble and someone accused me of cheating because of it ;)

I thought thesaurus is just a fancy word for dictionary.

Nah, it's a dictionary of synonyms.

A thesaurus is a dictionary for synonyms, a lexicon is a dictionary for fancy words and technical terms, and a dictionary can be all of the above (duh) and a book with words and their ranslations into foreign languages, yes ?
To make it more simple and get on tpic:

Dictionary: Wordbook (literal translation of 'Wörterbuch, the German word for dictionary).

Thesaurus: Synonymicon

Lexicon: Word-explanation book.

Its amazing how much entomology flys over your head, every day.
