The first post tries to make it clear that there are separate awards for Warlords and vanilla. There are not separate awards for space and diplo.

The only problem Ihave is that I will not be able to play after Dec 21st as I will e traveling and my laptop will not run CIV IV

There's no way this game will be finished in three weeks. Three months is typical for a SGOTM.

2) Comfortable at Prince, but I usually do fine at Monarch if I'm actually taking my time and paying attention (which of course I would in a SG)
3) Played and posted reports to a few GOTM's but haven't actually submitted any
4) Nope, no SG experience

If I read the runes correctly, the only Magnificent 7 player in SGOTM 2 is Grey Fox (in VQ Red). He hasn't shown up here yet, and the others played SGOTM 1 as Queen's Men, but didn't come back. Maybe you can talk them into a return match?
