When will the next big update be coming out?

I don't know about "big update" but I would suspect a patch is coming next week if things stay on the same schedule. (Around the 20th of every month)

Some people are heavily speculating a big update in Sept-Oct I have heard online but I have yet to see official information confirming that.

It's possible we might get a big update but anything is pure speculation. Unless there's something that leaked that I'm not aware of.

Right To Rule Part 2 comes out in September, so there'll be a patch with that, and after that is the first time since the release that we have no current roadmap, Sar has mentioned they will probably bring up what their plan for the next few months is going to be but it's not going to be the same Roadmap style as the first time around.

We still miss a couple of things from original roadmaps, like hotseat and victories for all ages. I guess those victories will count as a big update.

I'm half expecting a soft announcement of the first expansion during the same announcement video for the Right to Rule part 2 patch.

Well, first expansion normally take about a year and a half, I expect it to take more for Civ7, since first half of the year of it was spent on fixes, so we could expect it somewhere near the end of the next year. And regarding the announces, Civ7 base game was announced half a year before release, I think for expansion it could be even shorter. So, I wouldn't expect any info on expansion till next summer.

We could get some more DLC packs in between, though, as usual.

It is delusional to expect to anything positive from an update (they will come, yes, they will also be meaningless).

You people should get a sense of exigence. That word doesn't seem to exist in English, go figure. It means having higher standards than you do.

We can't, you seem to have taken all the edgy coolness for yourself and left us none to share.

I hope it's a big DLC. If they want to go big with base mechanics then I say what the hell go big with everything. If their DLC is crazy then maybe it will warrant a return to players

I am expecting two more packs à 4 civs before a major expansion. One around Christmas, and one in spring. I also don’t expect that the next update is huge. If it was (e.g., legacy path rework), we might have heard something more about it already.

I actually expect 3 packs. If they follow the current pattern of having 4 civilizations per pack, they'll need 3 to add equal number to each age (or just one civ released for free).

Last 2 updates were june 23rd and july 22nd, so... I would bet on august 25th or 26th (monday or tuesday) if I was a betting man...

Remains to be seen if it's going to be a big update or not... again, my bet would be yes, since june was big update, july was smaller but DLC content... september will be next DLC content, so I would guess august will be a very big update
