Next DLC is a double civ pack, details 'in weeks to come'

Sydney or another Australian city was not included as a city-state in the base game, because developers already had Australia in mind to be included in soon. Same for Warsaw and Poland

We can use this logic for other city-states absent in the base game: Budapest, Hanoi, Vienna, Bucharest, Bogota, Venice, Florence, Marrakech, Addis Ababa, Cuzco ...

So among the next most probable additions are: Hungary, Vietnam, Austria, Romania, Gran Colombia, Venice, Florence, Morocco, Ethiopia, Inca ... Considering that a European civ (Poland) has recently been included, we can to exclude Half of the list. My bets then between Vietnam and Inca, especially Vietnam, since we do not have any Southeast Asia civs yet, and this is a very civ requested by the players.
And considering the market appeal, I think a lot of people would buy Vietnam

I'll put my money with those who think one dlc will be the Incans and Isabela. As to the other maybe Macedonia, given they're there in the files!

I see you haven't read the thread. Someone on Reddit recently discovered a game file (last modified with the 30 day patch*, so before the first DLC) that included... Every single civilization currently in the game (including Australia) plus Macedonia and Persia (who would of course fit precisely in a scenario where you play as Alexander and have to conquer half Asia). Considering no other civilizations than those are included, it seems safe to say that these are the civilizations we will have after DLC04. After that... Who knows, we might get the first expansion...

*Considering I got a new pc sometime after the first two DLC's were released, I am not 100% sure of this. However, it's a file referencing the audio that plays when you load up a game, and I expect that it was last modified when they fixed a bug that meant the Ancient Era audio played no matter what era you were actually in. It most certainly did list Australia back in late December already.

I can't guess at the civs yet, but I'm going to bet on (around) April 20th for the release date. So far the DLC have been 2 months apart.

Only issue with April 20th is Australia Summer would be a month over by then. Their Summer ends March 20th, So really we be looking at a release in the next 4 weeks max

Australian Summer is over on Tuesday. That update is for the Australia civ, scenario, and patch.

The DLC following that is the double pack, and the one he is suggesting comes out in April.

He's talking about the next dlc after Australia.

No. Their summer ends next week as they reckon it differently than we do.

But I am not even talking about the Australia DLC but the one they hinted at yesterday that comes after it.

Well maybe google lied to me but it says March 20th

My bad I did not know you were talking about the next one

In NZ we also talk about the seasons beginning and ending in line with the months; but I'll bet scientists here still use the proper way that lines up with the solstices etc.

Izzie and Inca make sense together, they did it before, but that isn't a 2 CIV pack.

Ha called it back in October

So two Greeks and Macedonia pretty much confirmed? That is some pretty severe overrepresentation for the region. I also have to ask, why is Gorgo greek and not Spartan in that case?

I can believe it. Not only is it in the game files, but Macedonia and Persia fit well together thematically.

I really am not happy with Civ VIs civ choices. This eurocentrism is getting ridiculous.

Hence why I also referred to Macedonia. But it is likely we'll get Persia with them....so Persia/Macedonia first I guess :)

I think somebody on the development team is just super into the idea of creating an ancient Greece scenario. Scythia, Macedon, Sparta, Athens and the Persians will all be together and ready for it.

I hope the expansions focus more on the underrepresented regions of the world to make up for it.

Love it! :D

A Persian War scenario would be pretty sweet. Dare they have Xerxes lead Persia again?
