And Thiesmann sucking through a straw is a given.

Thiesmann and Mike Patrick last year was the most painful commentary to listen to ever. Now that they've split up, they get to pollute two games a week. That sucks.

*ninja edit*Watching the replay now, and Thiesmann is waffling about how last year, 'this call was not reviewable'. Let's see, fumble called on the field, defense recovered, coach thinks runner was down before he fumbled, throws flag. How manty of those did we see last year? Lots of them. Because it was reviewable. Why don't they at least have someone in the box doublechecking the waffle, and pointing out the inanities. You can't expect Tirico or Kornheiser to call him on it, for the simple reason that if I was sitting next to him, I wouldn't pay attention to what he's saying either.*/ninja*

Kornheiser used to get on Theisman so much during Theisman's playing days, its unfortuante he doesn't do it now.

Theismann was a great QB, but he's an awful commentator.

-Travaris Jackson, second round QB out of Alabama State

Minnesota's 1st unit O & D looked good & Jackson looked good, a year behind Johnson learning the ropes and we may have our future QB.

I still think he was a reach in the second, but he looks like the second coming of Daunte Culpepper! ;)

Okay, add Shawn Springs to the injured important Redskins list. He got injured in practice and will be out 3-6 weeks.

If you were the Raider's coach, would you consider would you consider benching the struggling A.Brooks for the 2nd yr QB from Arizona St? :scan:
That guy looked pretty sharp in their game on Monday :goodjob: . but then
again Oakland's offensive line couldn't block my sister :mischief: .

Vikings take big hit---1st round pick LB Chad Greenway out for year (knee) & Koren Robinson WR suspicion of DWI will most likely get suspended.

I was actually going to ask that. I wouldn't yet, if the Raiders have another bad record in November, which they probably will, I would put Walter in and see how he does.

And pawpaw, I thought Tank Williams was a safety on Tennessee?

How could ANYONE think Aaron Brooks was the answer--unless the question was " What is Error Brooks's real name"?

With Dwight Smith & Darrin Sharper at safety, Williams was switching to CB.

Okay, that makes sense.

By the way, I was watching the NFL Film's re-cap of the 2005 season. It made me very, very happy.

Yea, because they almost never show things negatively...I remember watching the 4-12 Chargers recap a few years ago and wondering if they had actually lost a game that year :p

Cowboys...just stay injury free. Pulled hamstrings don't count.

I'm thinking TO's fine, he just doesn't want to waste his "precious" body  on Training Camp. Have fun with him, I'll keep my 3 explosive Wide Recievers. (Oh, and alligator arms, aka David Patten)

Explosive? Try overrated...outside Moss at least. Why do you think the Steelers let Randle-El go? He was the Steelers number 3 last year I think, behind Cedric Wilson. He averaged 38 yards receiving a game and only scored 1 TOUCHDOWN the whole season last year. You overpaid for a gimmick player from an offense in Pittsburgh that likes to feature a gimmick player (Kordell Stewart?).

Oh, and Brandon Lloyd is good for a few "wow" catches every once in a while...but he can't get seperation (explosiveness would not really describe him). He also drops to many of the easier passes. He averaged 45 yards a game as the Niners number one option, and it wasn't any better the year before that.

Your offseason signings were mediocre and overpriced, the main contributors to the Redskins will be who they were last year. If they reach the playoffs again, I doubt Lloyd, Randle-El, and Archuleta will be even 15% of the reason...

I'm probably more worried about the Giants. They replaced Will Allen with Sam Madison, shored up safety with Will Demps, added LaVar Arrington. Eli Manning is likely to improve even more after finishing in the top 5 in yards and touchdowns last season.

Lavar Arrington doesn't know how to play in a real defense. Why do you think we didn't even start him last year?

I remember a couple of years ago, they did some team
that only won 3 games or so. They showed highlights
of one of the wins, then immediately started hyping
their offseason moves as having them ready to kick butt
and take names the next season (Didn't happen, of course).
