Some of the rounds are playing very fast nowadays. There are six left in our third batch of twenty. Schoolwork is getting more frequent for me so I'd like to step down again after turn 60. Who would like to sit in the turn player's chair for turns 61 to 80?
Well, my school work is done but I can't get any computers to read my Civ Complete disc any more. Right in the middle of my 66th GOTM, too! Maybe I'll throw my hat in the ring for turn 100.
In the mean time, go zyxy - build that Great Lighthouse!
We are nearing turn 100 and so here's the call for volunteers for the next set. Who will steer us out of anarchy and meet the challenges posed by "the BABE"? Who will guide us to the wonders of the world and develop the full potential of our learning?
I'll be happy to play on, but if others wish to play a set then I'll step aside.
I think I speak for all of us when I say, Thanks for such an excellent job zyxy!
I'd be delighted to see you re-appointed as First Chairman.
However – if someone else (Donsig? AutoTeller?) wants to make this a race, we've got plenty of talented people on this team…
Personally, it's all I can do to keep up with the Diplomacy – so I'm not even interested in the big chair!
That's for sure, you're doing great zyxy.
If someone else wants a turn in the chair then by our democratic nature I think that someone should have the chance though. I'd love to, but RL won't permit me to at this point.
I'd like play again. Would the Council consider splitting the turn playing duties? One idea is for one to play the even number turns and the other to play the odd number turns. (We'd need a different division for a different number of first chairmen.)
I think it's a better idea to let just one First Chairman play, because of the playing styles and such. We need someone who is (obviously) good at playing but also is sure he has the time to play this often.
