NOTW LV: The Underground (Game Thread)

I still don't understand why we're letting JHT off the hook. He's said literally nothing since OMGUSing me. We're voting for people who are contributing and participating, while letting those who do nothing for the town off the hook.

Also re showering: This is a war camp, not a luxury saloon!

ive decided zack is town

i dislike bladescaps reaction

but i also dislike how quickly the wagon grew

i think gamestate wise we should lynch someone who hasn;t posted

i'd rather keep playing with those that post

i sorta want to look at jarrema

but i'll get around to him later

right now we lynch inactives

I disagree. It's day two and you want to lynch inactives? You really have nothing else to go on?

Here's my issue with bladescape's posts thus far, they've been distracting and vague more than helpful. I voted him for those reasons, hoping he would explain some of his reasoning and he chose not to. This early in the game, that's enough for me to be suspicious.

Your reasoning for not lynching him is "I like playing with him." You even picked apart his argument after the wagon had already grown. From my point of view, if everyone was active I get the sense you'd be keeping the vote on bladescape. True?

So my vote on bladescape is staying. Unlike an inactive vote, if he flips town I think it paints you in a pretty good light. If he's mafia, then I think we really need to take a good look at you next. In any event, it's information.

Can we get a tally so I know who to unvote next?

Bladescape: Jarrema, Robbiecon, Choxorn, Riequat
johnhughthom: 2 spaceman, takhisis
bladescape:1 Backwards Logic
robbiecon:1 sprig
spaceman: 1 johnhughthom
Zack: Bladescape
Spaceman: Zack
Landlubber:Winston Hughes
Kennight: Visorslash
JHT: Double A
sprig: 1 landlubber,

This is the rough tally in my head. Correction welcome.

I'll have you know I am quite dirty. Haven't showered in two days.

I'll see your two days and raise you a weekend in the woods.

Vote: Landlubber, because I rather agreed with Winston.

My best guess is landlubber, for what look like rather opportunistic votes on Zack and Sprig.

I'll admit that my accusation on Zack was more of a shot in the dark than anything else, but I dispute that my vote on sprig was opportunistic. I was the first one to vote for him, and it wasn't like I was being lazy or trying to hide. I wanted to get to the root of his reasoning.

That being said, I recognize that there's virtually no case on sprig; he response to me seemed very townie. Out of everyone, I find johnhughthom the most compelling lynch. Bladescape just seems bored to me, like he enjoys stirring things up. Deliberately attracting that much attention to yourself if you're guilty is brazen, to say the least. I'm not getting wolfy vibes from him at all. JHT's silence and effortless vote, on the other hand, raise questions in my eyes.

Aren't you going to address the complaints about you, landlubber? johnhughthom can wait.

Erm, have I not already done that? I offered an explanation for my vote on sprig.

Your vote doesn't count? Then why vote at all?

So it's a tie. I keep the tie, unvote; vote: landlubber and please keep in mind my vote doesn't count

this was an odd post... How are you keeping a tie, or doing anything to the tie by changing your vote if your vote doesn't count?

If we are going to vote someone off it might as well be someone who is rather inactive, since they are an hindrance to the town. So far the Boar Rider (KingMorgan) and the Quartermaster (EQandcivfanatic) are not helping the town. I'll say for now that KingMorgan should speak up or forever hold his peace.

I missed the deadline didn't I (I see it got extended 13 hours 14 hours ago)

Will be catching up :/

Dusk Day 2

There was no question today that decisive action must be taken. Initially some suspicion was thrown on the Sheaim refugee, given his dubious provenance, but as the day dragged on, the calls for blood coalesced around two targets. Many dwarves called for the head of the general, perhaps for failure to properly secure the camp, or perhaps because it was thought he could more readily have gotten to their fallen leader. The second was the Priest of Leaves. The presence of a non-elven Priest of Leaves was a confusing element, particularly for the conservatively designed golems, and so they acted to simplify the situation. The clockwork and nullstone golems strode up to the poor priest, grabbed his limbs and walked in opposite directions. The result was ugly, and lethal.

A search of his tent revealed only his staff and the meager possessions he'd escaped with from Elohim lands, so they were forced to the conclusion that
Spoiler :
Bladescape was searching for A New Hope

Disappointed by the lack of success in rooting out enemies, but feeling better for at least having done something, the assembled forces went their separate ways, barring their doors against the dangers of the night and praying to their diverse gods to let them see the morning.

landlubber:4 Legato, takhisis, Winston Hughes, riedquat

Morning Day 3

The night is broken by the sound of screams coming from the arsenal, but no one can bring themselves to investigate alone. Eventually the screams subside, and the camp falls into a fitful slumber. When the reveille is sounded, several dwarves and golems go to investigate together. There they find a horrific sight. The cannoneer has been burned all over, his clothes charred onto his body. It was only by good fortune that no spark struck the gunpowder.

Spoiler :
Riedquat was striving for A New Hope

While the mage's body is less marred, he is no less dead. He lay among his books and reagents, blue in the face and dead, but otherwise intact.

Spoiler :
Winston Hughes worked to create A New Hope

After mournfully burying their comrades, the E.G.A.D. turned to the grim business of rooting out their foes
