NotW XXVI: Children of Kylorin (Game Thread)

(OOC: OK. In any case, I'm confused.)

(OOC: I am confused about what is going on around here too :()

Everyone is very quick to follow these bold accusations, however for the lack of better evidence I am assuming Ekolite is guilty until he gives reasoning for his apparent involvement with the murder

There is no evidence of my involvement in this murder. Methos, the farmer's girl, thinks she is a psychic, a prophet of some sort, and claims that while using her vile pagan mysticism she uncovered the fact that I am a werewolf. This is obviously false, and her dangerous and unreliable powers suggest that she is almost certainly an arcane infiltrator in this village. She's a witch, and she is responsible for the death of my good friend oyzar.

It is clear that she would want to attack myself, a priest of God, a pillar of the community, however it is widely known that I, the faithful of Junil, am far too powerful for her to murder outright. This is why she has started this vile attack on me, manipulating the people of this village against their own clergyman. She has no evidence to even suggest I am a werewolf.

She will rot with Agares for this.

To summarise, either:

Methos has a full VC scanning ability, which is false (returns random answer). After all, when ever do you hear of a full VC scanner? He then decides to launch this whole campaign against me, which will end in a powerful and useful innocent dying. (a few of you know what I'm talking about here)

OR

Methos is an infiltrator and knows I am too strong for him to kill at night, so instead killed my ally oyzar, before launching this whole campaign against me with the pretext of a (false) scan. He can then say when I am proven innocent that his scan is obviously a false one, or doesn't always return the truth, and try to wangle hi sway out of being hanged.

Midday Two

The calm of the previous day’s accusations were forgotten in for the storm of doubters that the priest Ekolite now had to face. Not one of his flock stood up for him because doing so would risk bringing the fury of the mob down upon themselves. Then, when the sun hit it’s highest point, the merchant called out to the crowd—

“It seems that since only one of you is interested in buying my wares, a change is needed! Come see the new items in stock!”

Bowstring- One Gold
Blood Red Vial- One Gold
Ruby Orb- Two Gold
Sapphire Orb- Two Gold
Golden Goblet- Three Gold

“There we go, buy those items instead!

Aye, now the daughter just seems to be picking off people willy-nilly. Heard of somethin' like that, in this town called Salem on a whole 'nother continent. Perhaps Methos could explain her reasoning for these seemingly random choices?

I have my *cough* doubts about this claim supported by no ev - *cough* - idence, but I must say that if the dear priest indeed turns out to be one of the accursed werewolves, I would be forced to have a large amount of suspicion *cough* towards the farmer's daughter, who refuses to give evidence, because she would have had to have been a wizard infiltrator or a prophet to know of such things. And, of course, if *cough* the little girl is wrong and the priest turns out to be innocent, then as good members of our wonderful village we would have no choice but to make the girl suffer for her outrageous claims. Either way, her time in this world would seem to be limited. God bless the village, and all the innocents in it. *drifts off to sleep*

The blacksmith turns his face away from the two merchants' breast enlargement sales pitch. He's a little embarrassed. Normally he's not as Bashful as this.

"It brings great concern to me that the tanner, oyzar, managed to steal my Knife of Alazkan, which I have used throughout the years to protect the village from any harm. Unfortunately, while the knife is not in my care, the village is not safe from the werewolves and other villains that haunt the village, going around and slaughtering the civilians. I ask sepuku that after he inspects the knife to make sure that it was not used to kill any member of the village, that he will return it to me. It is in the best interests of all the innocents in the village who wish to be protected from the forces of evil."

Inneres'n. 'Ow is it that a yooman such as yersel' be gettin' ahold o' a Svartalfar relic?

An' wi' the bes' will in the worruld, soldier, look at yez. Cooldn't e'en take wen measly tree ta the noggin. Marrafact, oi amn't e'en sure yez coold be usin' such a knoife whoile yez be injoord. Nay sir, oi amn't be feelin' safe aroond 'ere e'en if yez got ahold o' the bloomin' Godslayer i'self.

He stomps off, pausing only to greet the village whore with a cheery, "Hi ho! Hi ho!"

Wait, what? :hmm:

"Priest... I think that the farmer's daughter knows perfectly well what she's doing, and knows that if you were to die and turn up innocent, that she would not have very long to live herself. She seems to almost have bet her own life on your guilt, Priest... Why would she do that if she was not sure of your guilt?"

Why would she do that if she was not sure of your guilt?

Personal goal?
It seems Ekolite is going to die anyway, but I shall not vote unless I hear more. In the absence of a case from Methos, the priest's case is infinity (NaN if you're being pedantic) times better than the farmer's daughter's at the moment.

I think that KingMorgan should get the gold, the old verteran might buy some weapons and teach us how to fight against this werewolf.

I don't want anyone to get the knife, I would love to see it destroyed in the deepest depths of hell...but until that can happen, I think that the Golem should get the knife to keep it safe from would be murderers.

All the Golems i've met have been trustable and I think this fellow is no different.

Since Ekolite admited to me he was a wolf he must hang.

Well, if Ekolite has admitted to being a wolf, then he must hang.

I suppose Backwards Logic can have the knife.

Oh. now what. Ekolite.

Golem can have the knife I guess. Keep it safe. By the way, the tanner mentioned that he was collecting some items. I wonder what he was doing that for.
